Tirade won't work
by Q F Ahmed on Aug 10, 2005 12:57 PM  Permalink

Your tirade against Muslims and Islam won't work... won't cause any sensation. You seem to say only Hindus are peaceful... muslims...christians...sikhs etc are terrorists..

You killed and subjugated the Dravidians.... then waged wars for a 1000 years... then brought down holy structures... killed in Mumbai...UP...Gujrat...

That was state sponsored terrorism too. May I inform you that the VHP runs a training camp (to kill Kashmiri Muslims) in Akhnoor sector in Jammu under the vigilant eyes of the army as reported by the NHRC.

Your narrow mindedness seems apparrent that you see no further than Pakistan... you know not about your religion and you are talking about religous sanction and edicts of another religion?

Xinjiang won't last long.. there has been widespread Islamic resurgence in southern China....western China will also bounce back... you don't have the sight to envision that....

Keep writing......might this bring enough money for you to keep living....

Good heavens!!

Its the simple Newtons third law which says " every action has an equal and opposite reaction" and also it reminds us of the famous saying "as you sow, so you reap".

Divide and Rule will slowly become obsolete and this happens so because of Darwin's theory of natural selection.

Let the humanity learn a lesson or two and evolve a policy to live in peace and harmony

Expansive.. But !!
by Anant Roy on Aug 10, 2005 12:16 PM  Permalink

The Article is enlighting and as keeping with the spirit of the message.. where author mentions (conveniently placed 'terrorism' even in war situations..) the terrorism perpetrated by societies in past.. It would have been in good spirit to mention & include atrocities by our own society to make it an expansive article..
Like - millions times worse than any slavery in Africa / America is our continued slavery and denigration of targeted Castes..
- Continued social crimes
- Our history 'too' is replete with destroying other people's places of worship, mass killings & cultural suppression, whenever it could ! It continues even today ..
- Even during our freedom struggle, there were many innocent lives taken by us..

Think about it..

Blunt question
by Larsen on Aug 10, 2005 12:10 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Rajeev writes well. But I have a blunt question to ask about the partition of India. Partition was based on the premise that Muslims cannot live with Hindus as they are two separate nations in many ways, hence a separate homeland for Muslims was required. Okay, so why was it not made mandatory to do a wholesale exchange of population? Why did Muslims choose to stay in divided India when a separate homeland had already come into being? I believe even Jinnah his speech of 30th April 1947 advocated population exchange.

Rule has to change in India too like in britain(bad guys will be deported to their countries - Tony Blair)
by Prakash on Aug 10, 2005 07:48 AM  Permalink

It is an irony that people are discussing the London Blasts than the blasts which has been happening in our home country each day. Just recently the throat of five hindus were slit and they were murdered in broad day light.
UPA govt. is busy preparing policies and rules to allot 45000 visas for the pakistanis when we know that 25% of the 3000 odd pakistanis who came to attend the cricket matchc did not report to the concerned authorities after attending the recent India-Pakistan match. Shame upon this politician, we do not need any pakistanis at all. If they need medical attention, well their are other countries who are also cheaper with good quality and can serve them. In the name of education and medicine, these people enter the country and create havoc. Just look at the illegal bangaladeshis. Shame upon these politicians for still keeping a blind eye.

Think about our children and present generation. We are not bothered if Advani or any these guys are born in pakistan. It is as simple as this, if you want to be a muslim, Christian, Hindu or any other religion then you better be an Indian Muslim, Indian Christian and India hindu who respects the values of a secular country

It is irony
by Prakash on Aug 10, 2005 07:07 AM  Permalink

Yes, we have atleast truly accept most of the points by the auther and my opinion is until the west maintains its double standards terrorsim will persist in their soil too. They have too recognize terrorism as a global menace and not as the menace for them.

US, UK Missing the Bull's Eye
by Hardy Boy on Aug 10, 2005 06:14 AM  Permalink

Rajeev is totally correct in his column. US and UK should rather start getting strict with Pakistan, which actually is the fountain head of terrorism. They are missing the bull's eye by punishing Iraq rather than punishing Pakistan, which has hosted and funded numerous terrorists including Bin- Laden.
Well, it seems Musharraf has been very successful in taking US&UK for a ride.

Terrorism comes to Londonsitan
by labrea on Aug 10, 2005 06:11 AM  Permalink

Countless muslim terrorist and murderers have committed heinous crimes in India and received safe haven in Britain, which contemptously laughed in your faces. Now they are paying for thier treachery. This same Britain with all these recorded treachery against India - so why is India, a huge nation in its own right, still a part of this oppressive British Empire, lorded over by the Queen of England? When will you idiots have the guts to quit the BE and be your own bosses? Apparently once a lackey always lackey!

they will now have to shed their hypocrisy
and be realistic , hope atleast now common sense prevails on them, may god give them the moral courage and mental strength to act right
