We are always concerned about 9/11 and london bombing. We do not care about similar incident in india. Our government makes remark about london bombing and i have not heard anything on jammu bombing which happened in the same week.

Diagnosis

Though I do not agree with some of the assertions made by the author, I agree with quite a few. He tries to draw a parallel between Islamists and Pakistan's ISI. If his definition of 'Islamist' is a religious muslim, I totally disagree with Rajeev. ISI and a religious muslim are diagonally opposite entities. ISI is an opportunistic entity which can go to any extreme for expanding Pakistan's borders. They do not care about helping the poor and needy muslims. On the other hand, a religious muslim gets ready to give away all his/her property and even life, for the sake of needy muslims. I do not agree with Rajeev when he uses the word Islamist again, for Britons or Pakistani orgin who have formed ghettos and create trouble there. They are anything but religious muslims. Having looked at these kind of people in India also, I can point out where the problem lies. It lies with the parents. Muslims give less importance to educating their children (both religious and regular education). They give enormous money to them and do not demand accountability from them. The rich youth draws poor muslim youth to them, with the money they have and collectively, they create problems in society.

This article doesnt make sense.
by Das on Aug 10, 2005 02:32 PM  Permalink

This article is totaly biased on all religons except Hinduism . In the History, fighting war was an everyday issue and everybody fought...It's not that Hindu's never fought or opressed anybody..even today they kill their own fellowmen in their own country in the name of castism. Theres no point referring to the past wars and calling it terrorism...thats absurd.I dont understand why blame the Brits for not publicising terrorism in India. Aren't we the ones supposed to be fighting terrorism in our own soil??.On this note i would like to thank the police and the armed forces in Inda who are actually working on this and doing a pretty good job.

LIVE BY THE SWORD, Die by the sword
by FRED on Aug 10, 2005 02:18 PM  Permalink

Yes, The west is ignoring the fact that the governments they support are dictators and oppressive. The backlash is well deserved. Maybe they thought they were immune to interference in thier own lands because 9/11 and 7/7 had not happened till it really happened.

Now they have bred the hatred that has flown home and only themselves to blame.

Terrorism comes to Londonistan
by P. LAHARWANI on Aug 10, 2005 02:01 PM  Permalink

I think a excellent veiws on diplomatic policy of the Western world on terrorism. They have used the Islamic world for their own benefits & ignoring the repeated attacks by the terrorists on other parts of the world. Now they are feeling the heat of terrorist & realising it.
Still there is lot of time for the Western world to get awaked and differentiating and act unitedly to fight terrorism, then only it can be eliminated from the world.

Bombing in London
by NAVAL LANGA on Aug 10, 2005 01:45 PM  Permalink

The bomb blasts quaked earth under feet of Britons. Earth quakes daily, that's another matter. Has any army attacked British borders? Then why its army isn't at home? UK has a parliament that is known fair values. Its proper time to think over safety of its own people and other. All suffer awful losses, at hands of terrorists, day in and day out, but they dont molest the borders and send armies to settle the score.
