It is disgusting to hear the demands of separation of Mumbai from Maharashtra and who gave these sick people right to even talk about it. Mumbai is pride of Maharashtra and not a sole territory of these bollywood people or politicians. Mumbai has survived all odds not because of these people but because of its spirit derived from strong maharashtrian culture and maharashtra as its backbone. I really feel greatful that atleast there are still handful of people like Thackrey who are raising common people's voice and rightly talk about if chennai could be separated from TN or Bangalore from Karnataka. High time Mubaikars take exception and give befitting reply to such demands before they are stranded alone by these high profiled Bachhan or Netas for their own selfish motives.
Lets take a realistic view and I am sure most would agree, the problems of Mumbai is not because of its association with rest of Maharashtra but people migrating from all over India. Jai Maharashtra !!
Along with Mumbai, there were floods in Thane, Kalyan and other parts of Maharashtra. But the people who demand an independent status for Mumbai are concerned or thinking only about Mumbai. This reflects chauvinistic approach. True Mumbaikar thinks about entire Maharashtra, because he is Maharashtrain first and then Mumbaikar.
This time the Sena chief is a 100% correct. You cannot separate Bangalore from Karnataka, Chennai from Tamil Nadu or Mumbai from Maharashtra.
It is the magnanimity of the local people (say Marathis in Mumbai and Kannadigas in Bangalore) and the hardwork of all the settlers that is responsible for the two cities in becoming such big cosmopolitan cities.
How can one even think of separation , let alone discuss the issue?
If the comparison is with the National Capital Region or Delhi, i guess anybody truly Indian would realise the nature of separate statehood for Delhi because Delhi does not belong to Punjab,UP or Haryana.
i completely agree with bal saheb thackerey when he says that Mumbai should not be seperated from Maharashtra,for once....... mrs. Jaya Bacchan has completely gone out of her mind along with her party members.......... i don't see any logic to this weird idea.......... don't they have issues at all that they come with such retarded ideas............ if they have run out of issues, i would like to remind them that we have communal problems, poverty, pollution, unemploymentm, to name a few.............. when will our leaders mature????????? and lastly i hope you send these feedback to the right person or whomsoever it may concern otherwise its quite pointless.........

While the whole town was going down in rain`s , where were his party worker`s or his people from BMC , no one in sight , left MUMBAIKAR`S at thier sad plight , wht TIGER IS he , a toothless kitten he is...

Wht did he not ask for a subsxtantial amount for Mumabi when his party was in power for development purpose . Infact his party emptied the BMC coffers and filled thier own pocket`s and did nothin more than naming and renaming the street`s as it was his father`s domain .....
To counter the baseless claims of Non Maharashtrians trying to break up Maharshtra, all the Maharashtrians should rally together to peacefully claim a seperate country status for Maharashtra to end the apathy to the Maharashtrians who are robbed off their pockets to feed the poorer states and beggers coming into this prosperous state thus looting the riches. Maharashtra would be amongst the richer countries if independant and the governance would be much simpler. There could be a defence pact with the India or the USA whichever is more favorable. Other states could follow the example. Several east european states broke up peacefully during the violet revolution in 1990-91 and are reaping the fruits of prosperity and independant governance and a control over their populations...
