Looking at these responces one thing can be easly found out is that very few of these people are really interested in doing some thing for mumbai. We all know current stage of mumbai. please stop advicing and act.
I am from Mumbai and have been away from it for 3 years now. Hearing about the rains and the chaos from my family and reading about it made me feel terrible and angry. I remember long time ago there was a article in one of the leading newspapers titled "Chalta hain". We mumbaikers just take things in our stride (is it a good thing?) and go on with our day to day lives. I believe that this stupid government needs to be taught a lesson. Agitation in the street is the only solution. The ministers should realise that they cannot have it their way. They are shameless, inhuman and should be made to be answerable. Any miss doingon their part should result in the person being publicly flogged and defamed, never be allowed to stand for elections, should be stripped of all facilities and never allowed to be a part of any party or organization. Secondly there should be huge amounts of fines for spoling public property, littering urinating etc. The fine should be strongly enforced. We can do it. See how Surat changed, how Thane changed why can't we do something like that The BMC offices need to be revamped and screw the "Diwali bakshish" and stuff just do your job well.
Each Mumbaikar has to take up this matter seriously. We all need to put our heads up and keep mumbai Clean. This will help a)Avoid water clogging and smooth drainage system. b)Avoid disease spread due to water clogging.
