why deshmukh oovt.failed
by skjadhav on Aug 01, 2005 05:48 PM  Permalink

I do not understand why do you blame Mr.Deshmukh for the problems faced by Mumbai and other places in Maharashtra.Everybody has seen him on TV giving a broad smile alongwith Mr.Rane a prized catch from Shivsena and offering him grand welcome into congress fold. For him survival of his govt.with more stength of MLAs is more important than the the survival of people.

50 Years behind - Primitive method of Distibution Relief
by sr on Aug 01, 2005 05:31 PM  Permalink

Whether it is Gujarat, Mumbai, nothing can change. We are using primitive method of relief distributions. Even though India has made advancement in technology our politicians or crisis management group or goverment officials, ARMY using the same old prmitive method of distributing. The relief should be packed in proper way like in TERA PACK that is it has water packet, biscuit, bread etc each packet is properly sealed so that water will not enter in it and food can last for 2-3 days atleast. A food packet must be sufficient for one adult for a day.

Instead of this throwing atta bag, sugar bag at one location and water, biscuit in other location and bread in the water does not make any sense other than Public money washed away in water and goes down in drain.

Why Deshmukh govt failed
by labrea on Aug 01, 2005 05:31 PM  Permalink

Indian politicians are not only a criminally callous lot, but totally incompetent, inept, utterly corrupt, and uncaring to the point of perverse indifference. Maharastra is just another incident in this long line of failures by successive govts. "Contingency planning" is not part of the lexicon of Indian polity or society. Poverty and filth shall reign supreme as long as India is lead by such crass creatures.

Why to Blame on Others name, why can't we do it unitedly
by sundar on Aug 01, 2005 05:24 PM  Permalink

Now let us not blame The Government alone,We have to accept that it is a natural calimity which shook the base of India (Mumbai in particular).
If we anilise the situation in a proper manner entire unit has done a great job during difficult times i.e, the members of BMC & Supporting staff's did not even think about their own family but plunged to rescue those who were struck, As Human that what we can do.
Above we cannot expect how violent she can be us Mumbai.............
Let us do the needful unitedly.

Mumbai Floods
by Mohana Ganesh on Aug 01, 2005 05:05 PM  Permalink

I wonder why Sonia Gandhi has not been going around Kurla asking how the administration has helped them with the Central aid that as been promised as she did in Gujarat.
