Trying to change anything in our society is a real waste of time. It's going to change anyway and we have no control over it whatsoever. The only thing one can change is one's own self. And we have all changed ourselves to accept whatever comes along, so that's good. Whenever something bad happens, we can all sit and curse the government, the weather, the municipality, the society and whoever comes across. It helps to relieve us of the pressure of trying to change ourselves and also helps us to move on in life, waiting for the next calamity to happen. Till that time we can just concentrate on our day to day problems and trying to improve the quality of our life to whatever extent is within our control. Actually, everytime a calamity happens, it changes things for a few people only and we have a lot of people in our country, so it dosen't matter if a few are affected. Sometime or the other it will affect another group of people, then another. By this time the first group is ready to take another hit. This is the cycle of life and we should take it in our stride, no matter what comes, we are ready to live on.
