It must be a real incident. In fact, our politicians & beaurocrats go hand in hand to ensure that the life of their subjects don't improve and anybody who dare to break this chain or comes in its way is eliminated like Dubey of NHA.

It is articles like these, by Kanchan, that bring back memories of the once great Indian website www.rediff.com that I made sure I visited atleast 10 times every day.

reading all this gives a feeling that this state is one of the few reasons wy this nation is lagging behind people who are morons are holding the state at their mercy. installing their illiterate wives at the highest post. the people too have no choice since every second person is criminal. either it should be made into a union territory permanently or it should be declared a tourist destination of rapist murderers abductors thiefs. its a national shame bihar exists.

let them..............
by SKumar on Apr 28, 2005 10:50 PM  Permalink

This kind of acts can happen only in a state like Bihar, but more unfortunate thing is that the responsible persons are being supported by central goverment. Though judiciary has always clarified that THE Railway minister, has done what in the state and he can do future as a cabinet minister (take Gujrat incidence.....govt. ordered probe on his plea for dismissal of Modi govt....isn`t funny? just because UPA govt is dependent on RJD). This will lead to situations,similar to that in Parliament now a days, in entire country.

Manmohan Singh should take proper action on proper time otherwise only poor citizen of this country will suffer the results of his mistakes.

Great Article
by Roshan on Apr 28, 2005 07:41 PM  Permalink

After a long time I have read an immensly provocative and thoughtful article that betrays the state of politics and double standards in our country. The state of affairs in Bihar is indeed shameful for the rest of the country.

Indeed it is excellent article on misery of people of Bihar. But we should not nourishe hope from heartless criminal turned politicians. It is shocking to see that parties claimed to be for poors and havesnot are supporting these offenders just to keep communals away from powers. It is mockery of democracy . Will Mr. Harkishan Singh Surjit the architect of present combination or Prakash Karat or SheetaRam Yachury explain it?

Bihar

The current condition of Bihar is beyond description, even the reputation of those from Bihar has taken a tremendous beating, though each person is not a Lalu.Our Communist leaders sit like statues, instead of acting. In China,government officials are executed for corruption, but we prefer to call a pro Muslim and casteist Lalu as secular and progressive. All politicians like to keep their voters illiterate, literally and otherwise, Bihar is the worst such case. If one talks of a people's uprising, it should be in Bihar first.

Finally, an article that seems concerned about the plight of Biharis, even as the central government is going overboad to compare laloo with Advani in order to protect him.

People are Jealous
by Manisha on Apr 28, 2005 05:36 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

The country is full of corrupt bureaucrats -but one good man who does some work and comes in the limelight, all the dirt and the filth of the system comes crashing down on him and tries to show cast aspersion on him.

It is very obvious that all these allegations stem out of jealousy and ineffectiveness of other people. The fact that man is quit is proof enough that he could not last longer in the dirty cesspool of INDIAN ADMINISTATIVE SERVICES.
