I totaly agree with Rajeev, in fact not many people in India like to understand the many stands of Japanese o various issues especially when it comes to Nuclear weapons, in fact after our initial tests the Japanese backed off, later to understand that it in Indian interests for deterance.
The local indian press will do more disservice than service by ignoring this big event of the visit of the Japanese premier.
India has not benefited from Japanese investment, unlike other FE countries, because of bureaucracy and red-tape in conducting business in our nation. Japan need India more than India need Japan, for its natural resources, like iron ore, steel etc. In terms of attracting investment into India, this is purely decided on commercial viablity, and return on investment by the large Japanese conglomerates, who has no soft feeling towards any nation. Japan as a nation is always repentant of its war crimes, and they are still paying to countries around the world for atrocities committed in the past. Actually Japan is USA's safe deposit account, America demands and Japan pays. However, Japan is sincere country to conduct business, if you are used to conservative and othrodox transactions. You need all the patience in the world, to secure a successful partnership.
