Women? It is not safe for anybody. Mumbai has got the dubious distinction of being the crime capital of the country. The law and order must be a very cheap saleable commodity in Mumbai.Otherwise it should not have been the home of so many criminals at a time.
Thus in the baston of crime lords this debate should not take place at all.
And understandably a police force with so much frustation can do what else but rape?
Police Constable More who did the shameful act of raping a minor girl, had 25 adverse entries against him in his tenure of 10 years. He was used to remaining abset for long duration without approval, and come to duty drunk many times. He should have been dismissed long back. But he survived with help of his contacts and relatives in police departmet. More should be punished without showing any kind of mercy. Also those who shielded him should be punished-demoted or suspended after fast track enquiry. All the police staff having adverse remarks especially related to drinking alcohol on duty should be punished after a state-wide departmental drive. This will reduce such incidents in future.
