I agree that he should be dealt with severe punishment. However, the easy way out is to dismiss personalities like him as Debauch. I would like to know what is it that made him overstep his boundaries? What was the kind of life this individual was living? Enviroment is more powerful than people. As a society we need to investigate issues like this more from a psychological aspect. Hanging or killing criminals or perpetrators of crime is not a long term solution.
The Police force sucks....lot of policemen are making comments saying that this is a one off case and people should not demean the whole police force....ask any of them that how ethical and 'clean' they are in their dealings with the public and i doubt that there would be even one cop who is totally correct morally.....i also take this opportunity to praise Mr. YP Singh for his efforts and blowing the whistle.....as for the rapist - Hang Him Till Death!!!
the life term that may be extended to the cop is indeed less for the heinous crime committed by him.even a civilian committing such an atrocity must be sentenced to life term and perhaps even given capital punishment.but when law-makers turn law breakers,they deserve nothing less than a death sentence.hang More,so that every other man,cop or civilian gets a lesson that ours is no more a patriarchial and chauvinistic society where men can still do anything and get away with it unpunished.
Its pathetic, that an incident such as the rape of a minor happened. This case was reported so it came into the limelight, but imagine, there must be so many cases such as these, that go unreported. Rape of innocent little kids, who have no idea what is going on, is the most barbaric of all crimes. any one who finds pleasure in commiting such a henious crime should be made a hijra. Courts in India should give landmark judgements. a rapist should spend the rest of his life behind bars. probably, they should be given a public execution of the worst kind. believe me there's no human rights violation here. if these barbarians can destroy a little girls' life then they are not human leave alone have human rights. burn them i say, burn them alive!!!
If taking decisions & deciding the punishment is taking so much of time going through all the legal formalities to put a person to death then please feel free to take my suggestion to just do the encounter of that devil & put him to death like the gangsters have got killed by the police till now. Public will surely understand. But dont waste much time on taking such decisions as it had already ruined somebodys life brutally & dont let the people make stories out of it by delaying the complete matter. Let the government compensate for the victim so that she can atleast survive with the monitory help. This action might also clean the public image of the police. Please be fast till the matter is fresh & which can really create an good impact on the police as well as public.
