I agree what everyone has said, but i dont think keeping shanghai and New York as target will help up. All these things happen there too but they are not visible because of their glitter. There are much worst things happen there.

Were is our country leading???.. could we ever imagine .. a police cop ..who is a public servent.. invoved in such disgraceful act.. when the protectors of law break the law .. whom do u turn too?? The biggest problem with our country is we our selves.. We talk big . we show sympathy..etc.. but do we realy move forward and make a initiative ..find a solution to avoid future mishaps..no we dont.. this incident will be soon forgoten ..except for the girl and her parents.. and the cop probaly after serving a meagre punishment will be back breathing fresh air.. I feel the cop should be given a punishment in the public. the punishment should be so horrible that ..no other person in future should even think of it.. just like the punishment for crimesgiven in saudi..the cop must be ampitited of his hands and legs and left to survive..this will not only be a lesson to him but all the people who would ever dare to do this.. before i can conculde i would pray god to give courage to the little girl and hope normalacy is restored to her and her famly.
This shows the degrading moral values of urban india. cops are also from the same stream of society so we can't expect them to be "shining examples" Frustration and anger drives these people who see kids barely in their teens flaunting money and driving around in cars which cops can never dream of buying with their meagre salary. I say, increase the salary of cops on par with IT professionals. Make police a more people friendly department than a mere govt department. For god's sake stop caste politics from deciding which cop is appointed where. I guess future for india is bleak, with all the exposure and apeing of western life style. Till moral values are nurtured by our people, such things will be day to day stories.
this cop should be severely punished, ofcourse all his sub-ordinates (watching the girl being raped) should also be punished. This should be a lesson to all the bad cops.
i think people hav more problems wid cops of india than gundaas. the story showing that. another part of the story is the character of the girl also. in today's modern world, school kids r effected by movies n serials.
No girl is safe in india when this kind of cops are there he should be hanged till death the place where he did the crime so that no other cop does the same in future.
What are people doing, instead of just talking and writing on message boards? I can't understand, why don't Indians have the guts to demand justice. We just talk and write to vent our frustrations and then forget and sleep. The day is not far when anarchy will rule and we, only we, the citizens of this country, will be responsible for it.
I feel just suspending the cop is not a solution, the punishment should be such that no other cop or any one dares to repeat it. The law should be changed and people commiting such crime should be handed over to the girls in a open place and the girls should be given the liberty to punish him as they want, because they are the ones who actually know how painful it is to be raped.
