I heard something similar happened in Bangalore.... Something about how a cop beat his wife until her eye popped out..and then he tried to force himself on his daughter...
Anyways I think such folks should be give the Capital Punishment after 3rd Degree torture...
born and bought up in mumbai i used to always boast about the independance girls enjoy here but after this incident i m totally taken aback it is our responsibility to see to it that stupid cop is sevrely punished but cant stop thinking about that poor girl all the punishments to that cop are not going to make her life normal again i pray that shes back to normal again god bless her
it was shocking to hear tht a person entitled to protect us has done such a thing.......This obviously raises question of safety of women in our society.....Strict measures shud be taken against this crime ........Its high time tht some action shud be taken against such people in our police dept........or no one wud hence forth believe in them......tht they r for our protection........its a very sad news on everyones part.........even we as citizens shud stand against such crime.......
I want to express my deep disgust at the rape of a young woman by a Mumbai police official. Barring a few honest police officials the vast majority of them are arrogant, dishonest and corrupt. Because the top police brass, namely the various levels of police commissioners, just warm their seats in their air conditioned cabins and do nothing to stem the rot that has set in the police in the last 15 years, incidents like yesterday's rape of a young girl by the police cop yesterday happen. This is certainly not the first time a Mumbai police official has raped a woman. During the heinous riots in January 1993, there were at least two reported cases of rape of woman from the minority community by police officials. Those officials, to the best of my knowledge, were never punished--cases were never even registered against them. Will the current rape follow the same pattern? I am thoroughly disgusted. I request Rediff not to give up this matter and keep on reporting on it and giving us updates on it. Even if you have to report on it for months or years please do it. And for god's sake ask tough questions to the police and do not get cowed down by their pressure-tactics and intimidation.
Its mentality of general public. As said by someone, People act good as they haven't got chance to be bad.
A average person when looks at a girl roaming with boys at night doesn't have great opinion. This raises evil thought in mind and let to commit heinous crime.
Criminals of this kind should be punished severly and publicized under the Rule of Law. Whenever evil thought arise in anyone's mind, the punishment should send jitters in their spine and stop them from committing heinous crime.
If cop don't fear the system then only way to make life safe is by hanging such people or by pelting of stones. They / even people must fear the system or else other peoples.
I would term it as 'immature, mindless, dragged up- upbringing'. Did the cop not read how Dhananjoy Chatterjee was underwent a death penalty recently after 10+ years of comitting his crime as a rapist to a 17 yr old school girl in Kolkata.
Do they ever realise what the girl and her parents go through after his lust is taken care of? I would recommend very very stern and severe punishment to this so called "RESCUER OF SOCIETY" Cop who needs to be given a generous dose of moraliy.
I emphasise with the girl and her family and would like to say that this should not leave a mark on her mind or soul since she is innocent and only a brunt of his immoral desires. Its he who should hang his head in shame forever to come.
