If This is how the keepers of the law behave we can now see how much respect they have in our Society.I would go futher to say that Capital punishmnent or Lynching the person who commits be it who ever it is in public would bring about a change.I futher say that if themselves cannot uphold the law then i would agree if there could be a lot more Verapans and also a lot more bandit queens.
VERY VERY SHOCKING !!! This is truely shameful act by a Policeman. What will follow next all of us know. The cop will be suspended and then a chargesheet filed, police remand, case, hearings, dates and after 50 years by the time judgement is passed either the cop, or the victim or both of them are no more. During this period the cop will be released on bail and might be later re-instated and will be rewarded with Pension etc. and enjoy his life as usual. Why need a chargesheet, remand, hearings, etc. This shameful crime was committed in broad daylight, in the police chowky itself, and passerby people has caught the culprit red-handed committing the crime. Just pass the stirctest of punishment for the cop, and cease all his infringements, benefits, salaries, provident fund, pension whatever benefits he was entitled to. May be after such an exemplary judgement/decision any other cop will be dare to commit any crime. Wake U people who are in judiciary, lawmaker, etc. Please come forward and enforce strict laws. THIS IS MY REQUEST TO ALL LAWMAKER, PLZ DELIVER THE JUDGEMENT IMMEDIATELY.
Mumbai cops claims to be on No 2 postion in the world. looking at this constable does not seem so. This rapist cop should be punished in public.Make him run naked in the enitre city.
i think a special court of law should be present to deal with such cases swiftly bcoz given the current state of legal affairs in india this case is going to drag on and on and we may even completely forget about this 2 months down the line. Rape is the worst form of crime and and the accused should be executed publicly.
I have been around here and there quite a while and feel that mumbai is a really safe place for women and such incidents shouldnt happen in the future that tarnish the image of this great city.
Also this opens up quite a few new questions like if a girl is being harrassed by a guy should she go to the police for help?
and what about the two guys that accompained her? why did they leave her alone ? Besides if the cop was drunk they should have figured this out immediately and created a scene so that general public could have intervened.
Such crimes should get Capital punishment and not after 10 years of court. Such men should be hanged in public so no one dares to things of such heinous act. A punishment is should be given in such a way that the culprit should realize the mistake as well as others should forbid even thinking of that deed. The Indian Law should also be stricken and should be re-written. In a country of Billion people there should me more Law Courts then what we currently have. I used to think that punishments in Arabic worlds were harsh but, now realizing that they are for the better of the people of the country.
