It disheartens me to see India cozy up to the Chinese dragon mistress so easily, seduced like so many other nations by her golden corset. The elephant should watch out or it might wake up one morning to discover that the dragon bit of its trunk while it was snoozing. It is a shame that we have betrayed the Tibetans with whom we share such a longstanding relationship not just an economic one but one that reaches to the very spiritual core. Elephants are supposed to have excellent memories but this elephant of India is suffering from amnesia and shortsightedness. The sages of old tried to see centuries into the future but todays intellects can barely see beyond the next five-year plan. Do they see the dragon mistress wrap her tail around Nepal while tossing us a sardine in the form of Sikhim. The elephant should make sure that its tusks do not become too dull. Let us not forget from where Pakistan procures most of its weapons. If the dragon mistress is truly willing to become our ally then let it demonstrate its friendship with a real gesture - cut of military support to our enemy. Till then, the elephant should play the dragons game, but keep its tusks sharpened and ready to defend or charge as the situation may call.
How can you have common ground with a country which spends a lot of time and resources to destabilize you? Indians are stupid twits if they fall for this latest gambit of the mandarins - to neutralize and marginalize India's influence by seeking to co-opt her into the dragon's fold. China sees India as a land of push-overs - mere nuisance, nothing to worry about, since India is a weak nation run by conceited cowardly weaklings.
