Will the author write with same interest about anti-sikh riots of 1984? or butchering of kashmiri hindus in 1989-90? Obviously No. Because definitely the author will not be able to gather much info on those. The reason is simple. The so called "secular" people were governing then. And I would also like to reming the author that why the hell is she talking about post-godhra riots? and not about godhra train attack?
When we talk of Hindutva, we seldom realise that it means a society, which was dominated by "VARNA" system AND with out our realising we push Hindus to 9th century and earlier era. It is this concept of Hindutva,which should be the cause of concern for BJP.Earlier it is addressed, better it would be for the health of Sangh Priwar. Modi's criticism will prove to be a step in this direction. BJP must thank e.media for solving their problems with out under standing what is being done by them.
What about your indifference to Godhra, Marad, etc? Where was your concern then? None has wrapped modi in the knuckles. Frankly, he has not said anything he didn't say earlier. People with a liking for truth should venture into the true world and find the truths out.
The BJP/VHP/Bajrang Dal/RSS/Shiv Sena and all associates of BJP,including some NDA leaders,who supported and support Modi need to be marked by the vast majority of true secularists of all faiths in this country for all time, because of their avowed programme of eliminating ALL minorities.
It is a shame that Gujarat has a CM who whipped up hatred for the Muslims, brutally killed them and won votes of Hindus. It is a shame that Bajpayee/Advani and all from their group did not send army to put Modi under house-arrest when he was killing Muslims.
It is a shame that the Congress party did not send armed volunteers from all over the country to Gujarat to protect the Muslim men,women, pregnant women, married and unmarried young women, and children.
It is a shame that this country tolerates such a person to carry on.
My beloved country India was never one, united, homogeneous, integrated country at least for the past over 1000 years. The British could alone bring home a semblance of a nationhood through their rule.The foreign countries alone can bring in the rule of law and discipline based on moral values. We can not punish the guilty in this country.
