What about the LCA project which has been on the anvil the past three decades or so? By the time they finally hit the skies, those aircrafts will be obsolete, just like the much touted Arjuna tank and countless other useless junk created by your 'defense establishment'.
History has shown that short-term political expediency is not always in our national interest. Here's our US taxpayers money to Pakistan going to develop Chinese warplanes to threaten us in the future. Pakistan have been passing US-supplied technolgy to China and other rogue nation for decades, while blackmailing us with 'if you don't support us, the fundamentalist will prevail'. So what's different now from then?
