Here comes the inconsistency of the US. 1st Bush said he attacked Iraq because there is no democracy, where the hell is democracy in Pakistan. but he calls Pakistan his ally & friend. Bush broke the UN law. so, Is Bush a world leader or a terrorist? think about it.
Then any country can sell anything serious to any country?? No... thats not true.. What is true is what US believes it is true. You can not sell the same to Iran or N. Korea.. Eveycountry knows that Pakistan is epicentre of terririsom of world (ofcourse Saudis are direct allies of Pakis in that and Us is supporting indirectly...) Then why Pakis have F16? they dont need F16 to catch Osama or to catch any of his guy..! But the companies in Us need money n customer to run there business then what is wrong if Pakis are selling nuke to Irans or NKorea is selling something to somebody or any other country....! Everybody needs money in this whole damn world but that does not mean that you forget your moral responsibilty and do anything you want... whethere that is super power Us or any guy... Whatever country u are or watever religion you believe but you have got some serious responsibilities and you can not play with those... somebody is watching you if you do something wrong... believe me...!
Writing on the wall gets clearer day by day like this:- Pakistan has served US interest all these years and billed them the right price. Musharaf knows well his tenure can be streched till the time he maintains ambiguity in Indo-Pak relationships. Disintegration of pakistan looks imminent on the day Pakistan is persived to be irrelevant to the US interests in South Asia. Countdown has begun. Children in Bangladesh have (East)Pakistan born parents and India born grand parents (born prior to 1947). I can see a couple of newly born brothers of Bangladesh in near futur.
Supplying F-16's to both India and Pakistan will only escalate regional tension. Money spent on such hardware by both nations only sets us back in our struggle to become an intellectual and economic powerhouse in the region. The people of India and Pakistan need to put aside the need to clamor for military sofistication and work on mending relationships. There is no greater weapon in the fight for lasting peace than the weapon of mutual trust. If both countries spent the money being set aside to purchase these f-16's and instead spent it on educational and cultural exchange programs.....what a different world this would be....!!!! US and Pakistan are clever.US recognises musharaff as a democrat, although came by backdoor helping US and Pakistan economy and their policies. India is suffering by understanding democracy in the conventional way. India needs tact to deal with the problems and also use language to help themselves.
I read in history books long ago "the business of America is business!" and I also heard from an old uncle about the people of this country, "yeh itne kamini kaum hai ki apko apki apni maa bhi bainch den!" Well it was too shocking to hear at that time when i was young. But it's gets the message accross strongly today! Nothing and no one is sacred for the US. It's the big corporations which are running the show. Oil, defence, computers, you name it. The bigger, the badder! Heard of divide and rule?? Well this is the modern day version and implementation of the Britisher's golden rule!

Pakistan is a small kid making blockhead india to be horsy down on four legs and they have won reducing India to SAARC power. Looser dad thought of non-alignment and looser doughter thought of SAARC. and Dynasty Continues.
The only reason India is rising is because of US outsourcing. US has a long-term interest in getting closer to us. The neo-cons of this administration(Wolfowitz,Perle,etc) want to establish India as a stable power to counterbalance China. In 70's and 80's US built up China's economy to counter USSR. 10 years from now, US will do same for us. We can never hope to be sole superpower b/c after US dominance, China will rule. Our economic and strategic future is allied w/ US which is very likely to discard Pak after this war too. Russia is not just a declining superpower, it is a 3rd world country w/ declining military status. Let us not repeat Nehru's mistake by cozying up w/ Russia again. We must look towards US.
Frustrated and jealous Pakistan, will use these weapons to unleash N-Power on India. There are enough mad Generals in Pakistan who think that, "If We are sinking, we will take Whole of India with us!" And this is a spoken statement from a Pakistani General in early 80es. That's why, US should not have given these weapons to PAK. Also remember, whosoever America has helped has gone against US, the reason is after helping America feels like owning the whole country, and Muslim fanatics can't take that, as no other nationalist would. But they will take the help alright! What happened on March 25 is what would destroy if not whole part of india in next 20/25 years.
