To Name the New Aiport
by on May 24, 2008 02:40 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Dear sir,
In my view to keep the name of the New Bangalore International Air Port as Kempagowda International Air port is not correct. Because now the naming it self has become so much in discussion and protest are going on. Hence it is better to change this NEW INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT name as Sir .M.VISVESWARAIAH INTERNATIONAL AIR PORT since our Sir.M.V has contributed to the growth of BANGALORE and Karnataka right from the begining of our state Govt.of Mysore and he made tremendous contribution to the Industrial Growth (Industry) and the irreigation (KRS), Power gernation (Jog FallS) Drinking Water(CAUVERY RIVER)and because of him today our BANGALORE has become the SILICON CITY of country INDIA. More over his birth & creamation place is very near to the air port and it is MuddenaHalli near Devahana Halli. Also he has Recongnisation throughout the world for his contribution in the Engineering field. So now it better to give due respect to him in our Karnataka By naming as Sir.M.V.INTERNATIONAL AIR PORT, Bangalore.

Dear Bhaskar,
I am very happy that you expressed this view. Considering his contribution to state development, by naming new aiport as 'Sir M Vishveshwaraiah Internaional Airport', Govt can honour the true value of the 'real' 'son of a soil' (not a 'pseudo son of a soil' who is barking since few decades and spoiled our state)

HAL airport wasn't close either

HAL airport too was around 20km from city center. It took me 2.5 hours to reach mekhri circle from HAL airport recently. BIAL would only take around an hour or even less. So, techies at elec city and whitefield, please adjust till other alternate highways are built direct to the airport.
