I was at the airport to receive someone. It was a disappointing sight. There were thousands sitting out -with no proper provision for those waiting. The boards announcing the arrival and departures at the arrival lounge are two small TV screens which are not even properly readable. Any international airport has large boards with this info! The passenger whp arrived complained that the aircraft is parked quite a distance away and th bus takes a circuitous route to reach the terminal. Baggage takes even a greater time to come and there are only three belts and when more flights land, there is a great scramble.
I am sorry that the main stake holder -Zurich airport are used to only small airports and not geared to design an airport of such a dimension.
I will be athe airport again tomorrow and will have some more feedback.
Re. connectivity, I went to the airport at midnight and ther wasnt too much traffic. But Idread to seee what happens between Mekri circle and Hebbal flyover. It took us only 20 minutes to cover 27 kms from hebbal flyover. Another suggestion- even after a two month delay in opening, there are no adequate boards on the whole route to tell us the way to the airport. This is tragic! MOre later!

I HAVE SEEN PEOPLE PEOPLE BLAMING GOVERNMENT FOR NOT MAINTAINING GOOD SERVICES ON TRAINS AND BUSES, BUT THEN I HAVE ALSO HEARD THEM SAYING THAT WHY WE SHOULD BE BOTHERED ABOUT AL THIS AND THE ONE TO TAKE UP ALL THE ISSUES FOR OTHERS. FOR OTHERS??????? WHY ARE YOU YOURSELF NOT A CITIZEN OF THIS COUNTRY?????? OR IS THIS THE LAST TIME YOU ARE USING THE TRAINS AND BUSES AND WILL YOU NEVER REQUIRE IT IN FUTURE FOR YOU??????????
TO WHAT EVER LEVEL OUT COUNTRY GOES DEVELOPING, ONE THING IS FOR SURE AND I CAN CLAIM THIS WITH FULL GUARANTEE THAT THE CONDITION OF COMMON PEOPLE IN INDIA IS NEVER GOING TO CHANGE IN THIS WORLD AND WE WILL LIVE LIKE COCKROACHES AND DIE LIKE COCKROACHES.

hi mr.naresh see there are masses doesnt mind this kind of attitude or this is the way of our mindset. may be ppl like u and me may think differents...! see our historical or beautifull other sites r fully spit on the floor etc...see our metro rail ppl hw ppl r using it? it take years...to change ppl`s mind. the real changes shd take place fr their home. then it will reflect out side home. a beautifull country ruled by illitrate politicians and unruly ppl.pls be in mind is there any constitutional steps against so called BANDH which is against total developmemt...in a country wants to step out fr the poverty to supower..etc.its a long way to go.

This is bcz they r bothered about their bread and butter activities,also they dont have either the means or motivation like u and me to voice their opinion.Futher in any civil society particularly like ours,voices of only the influential and powerful a heard. we always have been like this .Most having the means to afford a car or private vehicle will very seldom go thru buses same is the case for trains vs airplanes and also the apathy of media towards the more coommon problems like the ones u pointed is responsible for the situation. i 2 m like u r very pained at the state of affirs.
Congrats people of Karnataka on getting the best Aiport in the country. The best part is unlike other airports built by local companies this is built by Austrians so this has European feeling in it.

hi ashish kanekar...u know y ppl r thinking that way? coz we knows only english speaking countries first...its the same some tourists in india specially whites who doesnt know even single word of english...n we think all those tourists kowns english. once i suggested in this forum abt our contries image n tousitic advertisement outside india should not be only in english.if anyone wants to know hw Austria written in their own language (german language) IS Österreich/oesterreich !! vienna is the capital of that country...in their own language its written WIEN.

Why does it take 8 years to clear an airport project by Govt of India?
Why does it take 9 years to build an Airport?
What were the State govts doing for the past 9 years to build infrastructure for the roads leading to the Airport?
Will Vajpayee, MMS, Deve Gowda, SM.Krishna, Dharam singh, Kumaraswamy and all other authorities and take blame for the delay? They should be fined every day for not doing their duty properly not the public for using the airport (pay taxes, taxi fare, transport) etc

whom can we blame for the next delay of airport connecting road? whom can we blame this airport has not been build inbetween mysore n bangalore?! it has been one of the best solutin for so many reasons...! cost effective etc...!so gowda is bowled !!!!

Its because of the interference from TN politicians. They try to stop development in other south states
Congratulations Bangalore! the new internatioal airport which was politically infected and delayed finally took off without any politicians claiming the credit though the election results for assembly due next day! also without any name again political!
