Whether the survey is accurate or not (it should be closely to accurate since 50% of cases goes unreported), definitely this shows that a sudden and quick changes, globalisation, liberalisation, exposure to westernisation is not good for a country like India which still largely believes in culture, tradition and which has the biggest stumpling block to development, i.e. population. Indians were an inspiration for the entire world for their culture, tolerance, adjustment, belief in anti-violence etc. Alas we are losing these characteristics and hence find crimes and unrest in all forms affecting our society/ country in such frequency. Only yoga, meditation and self discipline can reduce such unrest.
Even in mexico,pakistan, colombia,china all murders are not registered. China even doesnt even release its crime reports internationally. South africa inspite of having a very high literacy level and strong judiciary and strict implementation of rules, has high crime
Even though in absolute numbers India ranks on top the number of murders as a percentage of population may be less than other countries. We all get carried away by looking at the absolute numbers. The correct way of reporting is on percentage basis. If India still ranks on top then it is a major concern.

Why Anu Malik is criticising India. Is he really Indian. He is making abusing comments to Indians. Why ?
Ofcourse, it is vivid that a large number of murders are taking place in our country. But it doesn't mean that India is the crime capital of the world and the way adopted to reach the conclusion is also wrong. I like to draw the attention of all to the figures :
From the above statement it is very clear that with respect of population Colombia comes first in respect of the crime followed by South Africa, Russia, Mexico, USA and last OUR BELOVED COUNTRY INDIA.

I as Indian fully agree with you. Anu Mallik must read this data.
Take these statistics of 32000. Multiply by 4 (for unreported ones). Take 75% of this and you could get the figure for murders in just UP, Haryana & Delhi.
This would mean The 3 states would probably rival Brazil in per capita crime.

Once very much an inspiration for the entire world about Indians having so much tolerance, adjustable, cultural, we are slowly losing it. Result is crime and unrest in all forms happening in our society with much more frequency than earlier days.
