Karat is saying in India 54 per cent children below 5 are malnourished. But Mr Karat never told that why out of 54 per cent, 40 per cent malnourished children are from West Bengal and Bihar.

true. capitalism is certainly not a picture of perfection.
The problem is Left goes beyond just keeping right in check. They try to usurp everything in their way and paint it red ...that's the issue. Their pathological greed for power and their contempt for indegenous cultures is well known.
Like he knows the secret of making people rich by his stupid communism - an utter failure and a dangerous type of political system that sends people to the Gulag in Siberia, promotes terror and lawlessness like that of Naxal and in short destroys a country's past, present and future. These idiots want Indians to kowtow to some politburo in Beijin or Moscow. US had the right idea, they threw these guys out under McCarthyism..now wonder it is top in the world
While comrade Karat keeps talking and talking without doing anything to improve the conditions of unskilled/semiskilled workforce, corporates are training them work force into a skilled, value added workforce fetching them better salary. Service sector industries like IT companies, Retail companies, Airline companies train these people (who have completed high-school/diploma holders) into IT-infrstructure technicians, front-store POS assistants, air hostess' respectively.
//Do you find India is changing and changing very fast?
Yes! Yes, India is changing. As Marxist we have to analyse that capitalism today is not the same capitalism when I was, say, a student or when I was very young.
Capitalism has grown, it has proliferated. Some people say we are still a semi-capitalist society. It is not true. We are developing capitalism rapidly. The impact of that capitalism which is also linked to globalisation is bringing about the big changes in our society. Our task is to analyse it and see what all is happening to working people who are exploited and who are actually producing wealth in this country.
Part I of the interview: 'This is the period when the Left parties had maximum gain'
That is our Marxist view. We will stand with them, we will represent them, and we will fight for them. The change is coming and we will have to work out our strategy and tactics in a new way. Everybody is talking about workers in the unorganised sector. For them I want more (in the) manufacturin
Prakash Karat, General Secretary of the Communist Party of India-Marxist is a man of words & known for his dynamism has rightly said in his interview that his party believes in works rather than words. Reforms are need of the present that they would like to introduce as stepping up efficiently public distribution system and productive sector of Industries. He wants to see children of our country very well nourished and uniform growth rate for all. He was very firm that his party believes in collective leadership not an individual leadership. He emphasized that he wants to see our country very prosperous and everybody living very happily. Karat is a man of vision. He is keen to see everybody above poverty line by their hard work. Let us hope that he will strive hard to see his dream fulfilled in and lead to his party a success in national scenarios!

You talk of young people going to the malls, but you also have a country where 54 per cent children below 5 are malnourished - it rightly said
