Great Loss to the nation
by Lion Heart on Jul 31, 2008 06:15 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I wonder why can't we sent our loud mouthed politicians to the borders to understand the reality.

We must learn from Isreal and give the enemy a fitting reply. If need be, bomb all the terrorists spots anywhere. We can negotiate later.

I agree with your first statement but certainly not your statement about Israel. Israel is probably the worst example you can give. There are indeed terrorists among the Palestinians but Israel is equally guilty of state terrorism, war crimes and illegal occupation. India certainly has a far better moral standing than Israel. There are better nations in this word to emulate and Israel is certainly not one of them.

Forget about moral standing. India should be like Israel. I will quote one Israeli General's quote. He always used to fight ferociously against Egypt, Syria and Palestine. He was asked why you fight so hard. He replied "From childhood I hear Arabs saying that they will drown Israel in ocean. I want to push them so back from ocean that they cannot even see ocean" . This is resolve India should show but I doubt whether Mannu (Manmohan) and Sonnu (Sonia) will ever show that

India should not try to be Israel, Israel is Israel, always founded on fought-over land. India has been a "sthayee", a culture, a religion, a land unto itself.

Why the heck should India imbibe some wandering nomads' culture?

Choosing between Isreal and Palestine, which is more evil, the child protecting Isreal or Palestine who fight from behind women andchildren and martyr them to show to the world. Palestenians are evil people who are disliked even by their fellow Arabs.

Final farewell for a fallen hero
by prasad sirigeri on Jul 31, 2008 06:12 PM  Permalink

Loss of an Army Soldier is loss to Country!!!. India Can't afford to lose an Soldier. Can't we have bullet proof protection suits for our soldiers who are actually posted near the borders ,at least loss of an soldier can be avoided in case of such incidents?

Does the author of this news know the meaning of "Fallen Hero"...? A person who loses his life for the country is NOT a "fallen hero"....!! I think rediff has to offer an unconditional apology to the Indian Military fraternity and change the heading of this news... ASAP.

No one remembers him after few days
by ajay kumar on Jul 31, 2008 06:05 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Its shame that enemy came into our borders, shot dead a soldier and we are not rtaliating. Still india is counting the number of times they are violating the cease fire. Its better not to give weapons to soldiers, instead they should give counting machine so that they can keep track of how many times they violate. We should be ashamed of ourselves why we are bearing this Nikamma government with Nikamma PM

No word suffices this supreme sacrifice. I salute him a million times and pray to God to give strength to his family to pass these diffcult days.

India should be proud of such a worthy son and his family should be given all the help both financially and opportunity.

Just for few days we will remember him then we will forget. As we did on July 26 without remembring Kargil heroes, useless Politicians(especially UPA) not recalled their effort & sacrifice of their life. I dont know when these politicians will think about nation other than dirty things.
