May the brave soul rest in peace. We Indians are shocked to see many such sacrifices by our jawans,be at the border or on the streets.Everyone knows from where these infiltrators,terrorists come from,then why are we behaving like lambs ready to be butcherred.Why cant we retaliate,attack the very core? Pakistan would have been eradicated from the world map by now,if such terrorist attacks would have occured in America,Uk or France.I feel sorry but Yes ,the martyred soilder's sacrifice would again go in vain.

Loss of an Army Soldier is loss to Country!!!. India Can't afford to lose an Soldier. Can't we have bullet proof protection suits for our soldiers who are actually posted near the borders ,at least loss of an soldier can be avoided in case of such incidents?

Brave!!!!, I salute to you, Jai Hind all are ok only during such incidents and we will forget after that. Why Cant the Indian Army or BSF officials think of taking steps to protect the BSF men who are posted near borders? When you look back to history so many BSF men have laid their life. My basic thinking goes deep into how to protect those BSF men in such events? I feel a Bullet proof jacket or dress for BSF men is the solution.
Dear Readers, I have served in Uniform....so, please ... dont misunderstand me... My question is DOES INDIA REQUIRE MARTYRS....?
The Society has now been exposed to World...Thanks to Media.... Media is now playing "King-maker" or "Hero Maker" Job.. Now a days - HERO is not who is ready to sacrifice his life for you, but,HERO IS THE ONE WHO ENTERTAINS THE PUBLIC. So, modern day Heroes are ---- Cricketeers, Tennis Players, Film Stars (who imitate everyone), Singers, TV artistes.
Where is the person..who is ready to SACRIFICE his/her life for you..who ensures safety and security to society? NOWHERE. We start loving/respecting/adoring our parents..because they give us security/protection and affection, BUT they never dance in front of us, play cricket or do dramas.
Soldier in uniform is no less than them.They are treated as watchDOGS.Has any one gone to receive a soldier,other than his relatives?
During Indo-Pak/Sino-Indo wars,they were cheered by 'people', I call them,'spectators'...coz, no one offered to join the 'para-military forces to act as second line of defence".
All nations wants peace..but, Army is deterant, for unhealthy neighbourhood.
Ministers/IAS/Actors/Players..all of them exhibit swanky lifestyle, all at the cost of ONE man "WHO IS AWAY FROM HIS FAMILY - FRONT OF ENEMY TO RECEIVE BULLET"
I wish a day shud NOT come, when, India has to OUTSOURCE his soldiers/custodians, like our corporates do!! I Hope someone in media is reading this!

These defence people are realy the proud of nation. I witness Funeral of JP Yadav - Parliament martyar(who belongs to Neem Ka Thana- Sikar-Rajasthan- My home town). That fellow was first among to sense the entry of militants in parliament and responded openly. He die as a brave. But in reverse what our political syatem given him back- Afjal is not geting execution of death. Even their family have warned to return back all medals if Afjal will not be executed. This is completely our political failure

Yes Sir, you are right. I think, media should pay attention to this and should highlight the soldiers. Companies should take these real heros (who have shown there bravery) as brand-embassador etc.

Well said, but believe me we still have lakhs of youths in India who will join the army any day. I am myself working in a corporate world, come any day if the country requires me i am always available, better to die for the nation then living in a artificial world

I salute you for the sacrifice you have given for the country... I am sitting in my AC cabin in some safe city of our country.. only because u stand there.... Kudos to Indian military, BSF and other law-enforcement agencies who are working not under limelight but under constant threat of life without having the latest training, gadgets and other resources. We ae becoming a flippant, showy and extravagant society who often ignore the sacrifices and hard work delivered to them by Indian military and allied agencies. THE QUALITY OF LIFE IN THIS SECTOR MUST BE IMPROVED, NATION MUST ALLOCATE RESOURCES FOR THEM EVEN AT THE COST OF CESS, SECURITY TAXES, WHATEVER FORM IT MIGHT BE, SMART PC SHOULD COME FORWARD WITH WORKABLE SOLUTIONS. We talked a lot about unfilled vacancies of officers in military or defence related services including DRDO. Those brain storming sessions in the cold room must see the light of the day/ The mandarins and spin doctors besides being media-savvy must address the problems lying attended. they must confront the challenges of ground reality. IAM CONFIDENT THAT THE PROCESS IS ON BUT MANY OF OUR TANSLATIONAL PROCESSES OFTEN GET LOST IN THE CORRIDOR OF POWER. WE NEED TO BE MORE PROCESS-ORIENTED, OPERATIONALIZATION OF STRATEGIES LEAD TO SUCCESS OF TACTIC, WE NEED TO RESOLVE THIS WIDENING GAP. POLITICAL WILL MUST SUBSERVE NATIONS' INTEREST RATHER FEEDING SIZEABLE RESOURCES TO FEW FAT COWS. INDIA IS A YOUNG NATION, THE DEMOGRAPHY IS ON OUR SIDE, WHICH MAY BEHAVE OTHERWISE IF WE DO NOT BECOME YOUNG AND VOBRANT IN OUR ACTIONS TO SHAPE UP THE DREAM OF A DEVELOPED INDIA BY 2020. SLOGAN-MONGERING DOES NOT BRING PROGRESS.
