Need for being more alert
by mallaiah anchoori on Jul 25, 2008 11:26 PM  Permalink

These dastardly acts of terrorism taking the lives of innocent once again point to the need for ever vigilance by our security agencies who appear to have allowed a lull once again despite learning bitter lesson from the recent Jaipur blasts. These cowardly traitors of the country lack courage to come in public and settle scores face to face if at all they have any guts. The low intensity bombs used this time ,in contrast to the heavy ones used earlier in all of blasts, send signals to first create terror & chaos amongst people and thereby to the govt that they are going to make the country's capital their target in future.Six simultaneous blasts is not a simple thing to be taken lightly by any one.It is time for our law enforcing authorities to cull out all such anti social elements ruthlessly and bring them to book quickly. While the govt has not so far identified any agency & community for these blasts, the occurrences amply indicate that they are by forces opposing the present govt ruling Karnataka. These traitors should know that they cannot go unchecked like this & Karnataka Govt with all its power & authority at its command would crush them to save the city other wise known for its tranquility. Govt should also bear in mind that,of lare,Banglore has become a hub for all such shady characters who are determined to strike at the communal harmony of the country. People should also help govt in identifying such elements on the slightest suspicion & hand over to security agenc

BJP cries foul about the lapses in congress govt in handling the terrorism. They have made it a highlight part of their election manifesto to fight UPA. But, insane people dont understand the fact that most of the terrorist activities took place in the bjp ruled states. Though central govt had given intelligence notice to these states, the police and home ministry of bjp was totally useless in preventing this activity. What is the bjp govt in karnataka rajasthan and gujrat doing. They have the intelligence inputs and vast police force in their hand. Leaving this all domestic polics We should condemn the activity and take a strict action against the culprits. We should hang the terrorist immediately in full public view, they may be isi, simi or rss.

Truthisgolden, stop copy-pasting same message everywhere! Get your facts straight!

In last 5 years, bomb blasts happened in : B'lore, Mumbai (thrice), Jaipur, Hyderabad (twice), Delhi, Varanasi, Asam.

NDA governed states: 2
UPA governed states: 5

Don't make this a political debate! And if you do, make ur analysis broad enough!

Bomb blasts.
by TheWicked wizard on Jul 25, 2008 11:09 PM  Permalink

The problem is that a large section of muslims are uneducated and get swayed by talks of jihad and martyrdom and all that rubbish. It is high time they think for themselves and look into the core objectives of their religion instead of foolishly following whatever their so-called jihadi leaders tell them..

How Long? How long do have to bear this in the name of Secularism????
by Hari on Jul 25, 2008 10:36 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

They have struck again. Innocent peoples lives lost and crores of public money lost. How long people how long, do we have to bear with this mindless, ruth less killing of innocent people??? How long are these acts of cowardice going to continue?? I have a question for all my Hindu brothers and sisters, how long?? How long are we going to keep quiet. Tomorrow it could be your's or my relatives who might die, still are we going to watch it all wtih silence??? What have we not done in the name of Secularism? Reservations, special concessions and what not? Why do we have to die for them?? When are we going to wake up and stand for our freedom, peace and religion. I am not a religious fanatic, but my patience is running out with these ruthless and mindless killing and conversions. Our own politicians will sell us and kill us. Wake up my dear Hindu brothers and sisters before we are all annihilated. This makes me ask what is the point in being secular and patient.

They are misusing our silence and lack of retaliation. My heart goes out to the people who died or suffered injuries. May lord Shiva and Krishna give their soul peace.

It is not about Hindus. The fact is that we are not a secular country, due to the simple fact that the governance and religion are interwoven. As long as we are not secular, somebody from some religion has to pay the price day after day, for ever.

What do you mean that we are not a secular country??? If we had not been secular, would s many people of other religions be here or would other religions have thrived here??

Also if we had not been secular would there be reservations and quotas??? We are more than secular enough but it has been grossly misused and for dubious purposes. There is also a limit for secularity. No secular religion will allow for killing of innocent people.

Also there are other secular countries for example Brazil. If we Hindus go there and settle and ask for reservation or quota will we get??? Will we get quotas or reservation in any of the muslim countries??? Enough of being secular. We are being fooled and they are misusing our secularity. I am not a religious fanatic but my patience is running out and I cannot watch innocent people dying.

Secularism is not giving equal treatment to all religions, but to separate out the state from religion. Secular country (like France) is a place where the governance has nothing to do either directly or indirectly with religion and where religion is a kept a private affair.

Dangers of Pseudosecularism
by Neel Reddy on Jul 25, 2008 10:27 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

This violence is a side effect of our pseudoseculrism. As long as we, as a nation, are concerned about religion and caste, such violence is an inevitable outcome. As long as we cannot truely and honestly separate the state from the religion, we cannot really fight terrorism. The simple way out is to make religion and caste, a strictly private affair and punish those who cross the limits set by the state. Politics mixed with religion is more venomous than a king cobra's bite. I wonder what these octogenarian leaders gain by spending so much of their life energy on creating and nurturing vote banks - do not they ever think of their own death, which is inevitable?
