N-deal means NPT (non-proliferation treaty) and Very High cost of energy, compared to the conventional energy cost (solar, wind, tide, plant), N-deal energy will be 3 times expensive. VERY EXCELLENT for INDIAN POOR/MIDDLE CLASS PEOPLE: BIG DOSE from UPA Govt under MMSingh and Sonia. For other source of energy investment would be less than half of N-deal cost and least level of pollution or no pollution. Moreover India will be place to dump nuclear waste. Indians will suffer from N-waste because of complete mismanagement, we have seen many times.

Nuclear energy is only costlier than coal of all the non-renewable resources. coal which you probably know has very big environmental costs and is dirtiest source(if you have heard about global warming). Renewable resources have their limits which is why no country has been able to harness them to make them major contributors yet but work is on. 1. Solar - too expensive - 5 times Nuclear. 2. Wind - Limited scope but currently doing better than Solar. 3. Hydel - Big but limited by rivers and no major possibilities in near future.
Thorium is a research project and has been ongoing in India for more than 30 years but we are working in isolation and other countries working together by sharing technology so we are behind. Unfortunately, energy can not be wished into appearing and among all that is available, N Power has most potential which India has not been able to utilize. Which is why Kalam/MMS /others think India would do better with Nuclear Energy.

1. From where did you get this 6-7% figure? Have you taken into consideration, the amount of money we will save instead of wasting it on expensive oil and polluting coal? 2. The N-waste can either be recycled or sent back to the originating seller, as there is a clause in the agreement that India can either sent back the N-waste or reprocess it further to get weapon grade n-material. 3. There is now fool proof ways of saving the N-waste so dont worry too much about it, or waste your sleep thinking about it. We can also alternately dump this waste along with the LEFT parties including Karat and Bindra as they are the No. 1 most dangerous waste material India possess so far. RIGHT?

See? On 22 July the No-Confidence motion was finally voted, clearing the way for the N deal and rains resumed immediately. Interestingly, all efforts made for artificial rains before that seem to have no effect at all.
