Next Election
by t bose on Feb 10, 2008 07:54 AM  Permalink

This is a great opportunity, for all Indian born naturalized US citizens to unify and vote for a civilized compassionate great man to be our next President. Hillary Clinton, if she is the nominee also deserve our whole hearted support. But as of now, States after States have shown Americans can for a day, forget their racial bias and vote for a good man. We as and vote and encourage our lazy neighbors to go and spend a few minutes to cast this most fundamental right of citizenship in novemeber. Let us as educated people show our children and our neighbors, that we take this duty seriously. Writers please do not write anti religious and slanderous words in this column. Thank you very much

I love India but..........but the politicians ruin our Country
by kulkarn on Feb 07, 2008 12:28 PM  Permalink

I love India, but I think the bad politics and most of the politicians are ruining our country. The region , caste, creed, relegion oh my God, all these things withrawing India from developing status. But if we look forward USA. the things are vast different in US. The politicians of USA love their country very much as compared to the politicians here in India. SO I THINK THE BAD POLITICIANS WHO ARE ONLY THINKING OF THEMSELVES AND THEIR FAMILY ONLY RATHER THAN DO SOMETHING ABOUT THEIR COUNTRY AND THE CASTE< REGIONISM

Come out of America and start talking
by shan shan on Feb 07, 2008 07:41 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Why are you working in US and spending all the money there which does not help our economy. Come to India and work for India or work for other countries and spend your money here which will help our country in all the way. Why people are always looking to US? Please help our country in any way rather than talking DESI matters and thinking the people staying India are simply "country" people. India spends so much money for education but the top layers are moving out of India and working for other counties. I think you are not True Indians or properly educated.

Hey wait a minute...what do you mean by saying YOU GUYS. Remember you are a product of the same seed. The only difference is that we spoil our own country and you spoil others country. You guys stay in USA, cheat on taxes, social security, health care and make their beautiful country dirty. Apart from a few successful Indians who have joined the mainstream American society , rest of you are ghetto dwellers cheating their system at every opportunity. Whatever we do..we do it in our own country but you guys spoil other peoples country..doesnt that suck more.

1. Most people want a better standard of living and so they move.
2. Corruption, pollution (in cities), pathetic infrastructure, over-crowded-cities, traffic jams and RESERVATIONS - all these factors to add to the woes.

Samir Desai-wants to vote Republicans
by DANIEL POTLA on Feb 07, 2008 06:07 AM  Permalink

Dear Dear! This is a typical Bad Indain ideaology...some people dont leave it behind when we go out...gives a bad opinion to "INDIA" ...think of what you can give to Society..and the country you live in...not what you can take from it..Vote any body you want..and convince others that your party is better...not just sit back and hope they will all vote for your party..if you go by majority [as he says]..democratics will get 95% ..it itself shows that you would not like to go with the majority...you are a loner..and you are pessimistic loser..sorry i have got to say this..no hard feelings

Obama 08!
by Joomera on Feb 06, 2008 09:31 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

The one who applied sanctions against India in 1997 was Bill Clinton. The one who continued with the US policy of aupplying arms to Pakistan is Bill Clinton.

The slave mentality of the Indians of licking the boots of political clans goes on and on and on. First in India with the Gandhi's and now with the Clinton's. Shown our true colors.

The democratic nomination will be
Barack Obama/John Edwards 08.

I am not against Hillary but she is too polarizing to be a president. With George Bush the issues of the Right wing dominated. With Hillary it is gonna be of the Left.
