Obama during his Democratic candidate acceptance speech promissed to end reliance on oil from the Persian gulf in 10 years. Fact is that US won't have that option then as US shall be the largest importer from Qatar of LNG for which a 25 year contract is already in place. Qatar has in addition been supplying Japan and Korea and has also signed up to supply to UK and some European countries. The other 2 countries of greater reserves of Natural gas are Iran and Russia. US cannot see India getting the fuel cheap from Iran and is hence opposing the pipeline through Pakistan. Iran does not have the expertise to tap / export the natural gas without the assistance of the Western oil majors. For this reason US will keep the pressure going on Iran. India being offered Nuclear fuel is a barter agreement for not signing-up with Iran for the Natural gas. The dis-advantage is that disposal of the used Nuclear fuel is a costly process which needs to be monitored for ever once it is used-up and dug in deep concrete bunkers. Lastly the artificial increase in the oil prices has helped the dollar regain its value. This is because all transactions for oil is carried out in US dollars. With India and China not willing to slow down on their growth the energy demands grow larger and so does the demand for the US dollars. Result - US registers a good growth in this quarter when everyone expect US to be headed for a reccession.
Current H1B cap is 65K, still their is huge opposition. Every day more than One lakhs Bangladeshi comes to Mumabi without any visa. Goverment don't take action to save vote bank ?

I would not advice anyone to watch Al Gore's power point talk on global warming. He gets both Hollywood award as well as the Nobel prize for his show. Al Gore is a phony- he lives in a 10,000 sq. ft house, rides big vans, and talks big about global warming. Global warming may be a fact, but Al Gore is the wrong person to talk about it- he is barely educated failed politician who is full of hot air- that contributes to global warming.

Anti outsourcing is idealistic stupidity..its like saying USA should produce everything even if its a loss..industries move on and trickle down to lesser economies..USA or Obama can never stop outsourcing which is the global trend. Deepak, US has survived despite India and outsourcing for the longest time. In many ways, US is unlike India. In US, ideas thrive to become realities. People blame US for anything and everything that happens in the world. Its fashion now a days. Drilling in gulf shores is not an answer to the oil problem because drilling will take at least 10 years to produce results and the amount of oil coming out is not enough to even support US for 10 more years. McSame is the real sham and he is the one who support Dubya to get in Iraq and stay in there. So take a hike.

I dont think so..Obama cant think ! just talk of drilling has brought the price of oil down from $140 to $115. Drill, produce, refine, and seek other sources of energy. Constant news coming out that the US consumption has slipped by a large number and slowing demand from China after the olympics is the reason for oil futures to tumble. As far as terrorists, go Dubya and republicans have made this country even more prone to terror attacks by misleading Americans to believe that Iraq was somehow related to Al Qaida. Republicans think that they are the only patriots in the country and only they know how to defend it. Its as if, Democrats were born somewhere else and shipped to the US. Republicans are so low life and their attacks so venmous (read Sean Hannity, O'reily) that US will be better of without them.
As John Stewart rightly said, Republicans say that they love this country, they just dont love half the people living in it (read Democrats).

If US drills and adds to the supply it is bound to bring the price down..basic economics...if the price doesnt go down, fine..US saves more dollars...there is absolutely no rationale in preventing drilling..the whole thing is juvenile drama..saving Polar bears, fears of pollution etc...thats BS..US is the best to prevent pollution...has India stopped exploring for oil? then why should US or anyone else? Obama cant think, nor can the democrats...populist liberal ideas, obsession with getting men married to men and other depravity in the name of freedom. how can he make USA independent of Arab oil if he doesnt like drilling? he wants to work backwards in developing alternate energy, its like thats the next best idea..USA has a problem changing into the metric system leave alone changing its fuel type. drilling, nuclear energy and also developing alternate energy is the way to go. Your acceptance speech was excellent as itcame came straight from your heart, not from asheet of paper. The clarity of your thought process was superb and you forced all the delegates to think for themselves for the first time. I would say you were as excellent as Clinton in your oratorial skills as well as in touching people's hearts when he stood for election as President several years ago. I wish we could find another good leader like you in India, who does not walk on crutches nor strain to read a pre-written speech by his or her ADC thro' thick bifocals ! You would be the God sent solution for America's ills if only you could turn its economy around in the next 6-12 months.
