future of Farmers......
by NoManLand on Aug 12, 2008 07:57 PM  Permalink

In future Farmers will move to more revolt, they are already started demand for reservation quota.
I think they are correct, Farmers in India should get reservation quota at least in education.

Use British Spelling!
by Anand on Aug 12, 2008 07:32 PM  Permalink

This is a good article. How does one become a memeber of the IRFC?

One suggestion: You should change all your Word copies to UK English. The word is leveLLer, not leveLer. Please correct!

Ban cricket
by Ram Sharma on Aug 12, 2008 07:25 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Why cricket is being discussed here? The heading is about train is a great leveler.

Cricket and its live commentary should b banned to save other games. We should b ashamed of our achievement in Olympic, the real test of competition in various games. We r a big zero.

Cricket is a time consuming, non competitive (only some ex British colonies play it) game. It is also a drain on our resources, as we finance the world cricket.

Cricket was banned in US long ago.

Being a former British colony, cricket was played there also. But seeing the waste of time, test cricket was banned long ago.

some know problems.
by guest on Aug 12, 2008 07:20 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

we have a few simple basic problems deep-rooted in our culture.

1) Dowry (a major portion of our corruption can be directly attributed to this)
2) Arranged marriages. It sounds naive to say that it is a problem. But it is. The creativity of a man is directly linked to his need for impressing a woman. If a woman is guaranteed, why would he worry? None of the developed countries have arranged marriage. Heck, Japan became developed after they started supporting love marriages.!

I have due respect to Mr.Kalam and everyone who wants India developed. But if we are trying to be developed keeping our basic problems unresolved, that's impossible. It's like saying "I want to be the Pope; but I'll still be a Hindu"

1. You mean people who accept dowry are corrupt? kon bhai? jubb koi dowry shauk se de raha hai, toh kyon na le?

2. There is no guarantee of woman in arranged marriage and no guarantee of a good woman too. abhee Kalam ko dekh naa, zindagee bhar haath ke sahare nikal dee! aur creativity hee creativity!!

1) People want more and more money mostly for their kids. their marriages, their studies, etc, etc. In US a policeman generally don't corrupt because he don't need to. (Now don't start US hate messages.)

2) I am not talking about how you can get a good woman. I am talking about how India can be developed.

And we need a common language too. I didnt understand half of what you said in hinglish. :)
