121 MP's of BJP Shiv Sena MP's should have supported for the 2nd term of Dr. Kalam. Insted BJP nominated Shekhwat a old guy who had been operated for a by pass surgury in US ! and SS supported Pratibha Patil with the fear of Rane factor for cross voting of their MP's! what a poor leadership !!

Dr.APJ was unwilling to contest and instead he was only willing for a 2nd term if a general consensus is reached among the all the political parties. The UPA led by Congress was totally against Dr.APJ and nominated Ms.PRATHIMA PATEL (Sorry PRATHIBA PATEL) to the post. When Dr.APJ was out of the contest, then BJP was only having one option to nominate Shekhawat for name sake.

to your career and contribution to India, why did you not clear the hanging of Afzal Guru? Youth can do everything but the 60 leaders spoil the party/ The old should be given compulsory retirement after 60 in politics. Only then, the situation would be bettered.

afzal was not hung because he has not been given fair trail. there was no lawyer appointed to represent him and rowdy lawyers even agitated and did not allow any one to represent him.
definitely it is a case of bullying by majority. since there was not a fair trail in the case of Afzal Guru, Abdul Kalaam did not want to take a chance to hang someone who is not proved guilty yet through proper channel. only some rogue politicians are demanding to hang him and none of them actually interested in giving justice to him...
so Abdul Kalaam being an honest person did not comply with the demand of rowdy politicians nor did he try to appease the majority and become a killer.

You fanatics should know facts before barking. In so many occasions he has expressed that this matter never came before him. There are so many cases like this is pending.
Dr. Abdul kalam is really ikon of India. My expectation from future presidents is only one that he / she should visit all places & villages in India by Road so atleast all Roads of India will be made new or repaired.
