This is a paid PR exercise to keep sachin alive after his at least 50% responsibility of letting India down in Sri Lanka recently. Come on, great ness is not in just being in team, but deciding when you are not in good nick and let other person take your place. The great player who cannot face spin neither pace, what are we talking. It can be his age or his injury, but that does not mean his place in team is granted that also at an expense of defeat of the team and nation. The great sports person always keeps team and nation ahead of him and its same to Ganguly. The should just quit now if they have some respect for themselves. I am sure they can still make some money throgh editorials and magazines and commentary.

why not ask him to wait for the australia trip of india after 4-5 yrs. that will be biggest achievement.
It is unfortunate that they failed to take the name of Dravid who has won single handedly a number of matches for the country. AS he was averse to me4dia , Media also neglected him. He is the only Indian player to have bagged two ICC awards in the same year and he has the maximum century partnership world has seen and also the highest number of catches.
IT is unfortunate to say the above like sachins caliber, yes there is no doubt he was the best in the world, but today there are hundreds of sachins in this country who are waiting for their skills to be exposed, sachins time is over he must exit gracefully, rather than facing criticism, he is sticking to Indian cricket just because of The top officials are from mumbai, today sachin is not even worth of paper. Better to give way for youngsters. He is not the best at present, must be sacked

Tell me one youngster who can confidently played at ranji and other events who can replace sachin.... in england, australiya young means 28-30 and not 16-18 age, we already loosed some good players introducing them at very young age Parthiv then mai be next ISIANT already injured at 19yrs

Azharuddin - Miya was Match fixer no. 1 in the world ...sold the feelings of crores of indians for the sake of monwy Jadeja - brother of azharuddin. Kumble - Jumbooooo to lazy to be called as cricketer Srinath - Poor fielder , horrible batsman , poor runner between the wicket......many more Venkatesh prasad = fast bowler hired by india to bowl slow deliveries... Only Yuv raj & Dhoni can be called as fit and perfect cricketers india has produced since last 20 years ....
We can talk about Dravid and Laxman...but they tooo are lazy cricketers....To a extent they cans just be goood test batsmans and not test cricketers....

Taking into account the present scores by Sachin there are at least 100 cricketers who can play better than him... Give them chance..I remember a joke.. A person very proud of old constructions of houses said "Show me a building constructed during last 25 years which has lasted for more than 100 years !!! You sound like that ...
Indians have icons who simply do not want to hang their boots..they still want to hog the lime light..all at the cost of the national pride..have a look at Ganguly,Sachin,Rajini Kanth,Amitabh,SRK,Salman,kamal hassan.Amir khan ..the list is endless..these guys force us to watch them..none in the selection committe or the Board or anyone has any truth in them to stand and say..Guys Enough...STOP this Madness...
Man we are sick seeing u guys ..why dont u give the future generations an break...these fellows are so mean that they even push their kids,grand kids..look at entire Bollywood...all in all an big Khandhan...what an shame..Tollywood is no different..we are forced to watch them..then their sons/daughters..their grandsons..man this is real shameful...reservation or quotas..whatever..icons of India have failed to raise any national pride..infact they are making the future of this country shabby..the worst part of all these icons is..they are mostly NRIs..they have dual passports..most of them are just looting this soil and investing in foreign lands...so are we not putting our money and time on anti-nationals..think about this....

No one is forcing you to watch. If you don't like, don't watch. This is a free country and hence people like Amitabh, SRK, Amir Khan, Kamal Hasaan (or whoever) are doing whatever they feel (and as long as producers are willing to fund them and some people unlike you, are willing to watch).

Sachin was Sachin Many years back.. today is in just because he is Sachin...He is not lata or amitabh who can continue doing what they are doing till they die... as a sports man even as big as you are.. your days are limited..
Those who moan about Sachin making pots of monee, think of this, if you compete against 100 million people and come up as number 1. What kind of rewards should you get?
There are tens of thousands CEO / Business leaders in world and they make crores ... Sachin is among top 5 sportsmen in world, should he not deserve the money? (Those complaining about cricket played in 8 countries only, look at world population base, close to 2 billion people follow cricket)
Why no one complains when Shahrukh makes millions? he is just among 100 actors and has earning lifespan of 40 yrs, where as Sachin will be out of cricket in max 20 yrs total.

Seriously, SK has a team of 300 people working on a movie including far talented people like music, cameraman, director etc..
Indian cricket team has 11 players out of which atleast 4-5 are extra baggage,, take 2003 example, Sachin almost single handedly took us to final and when he failed we blame him... take Pak Chennai test, same thing.

Just coz he played some x years back, we cant keep him in team. Current team should be based on player's current form and physical fitness. Sachin's time over. He needs to be inducted in 'Hall of fame' of cricket. Sachin.. just retard. Just give him medal/honors and give him a send off.. his time over!

Ok, Let me ask you a question. Azim premji is worth 1000 crores, does not have tax consultant to find ways to pay minimum taxes? don't you do that when you pay your income tax?
It is right of every citizen to explore "legitimate" ways of paying less tax. He didn't ilegally avoided tax but sought exemption. you know how many people do that every year ..
Do you think A Bindra should pay tax on rewards he is getting? In many countries Sportsmen / artist do not pay tax as they don't have guranteed income ... as they can be dropped anytime.
