We do not judge a person by his background alone (unless it is criminal one!). A person who has put in hardwork to succeed in career is seen with hopes by the people who are frustrated with the existing leaders. The filmy charisma may be shortlived. Once some real results are shown, one can stay strong. Mere charisma is not helpful atleast for now.

When NTR entered politics, there were no other political parties and Congress was the sole party from 1953 to 1982. People were very frustrated and there was a strong anti-congress wave. Now the TDP has gained strength; BJP has become stronger; CPI and CPM are showing their presence; TRS may be able to split the votes; Lok Satta of Jaya Prakash is also a strong hope for educated mass. Chiranjeevi has to face all these people apart from handling defectors of other parties entering his party for favours and posts. The more important issue is his being branded on caste basis. There are many negatives. The one positive thing is his blood donation camps and his so far clean no-enemies image. If continues with his image and controls others, there is some hope. An officer who failed in profession joining politics after a long gap is no special entry excepting that he is fighting corruption and unethical activities of politicians. Educated politicians are not in dearth, atleast in AP, the present CM is a Doctor, CB Naidu is highly educated man and most leaders are well educated here.

RE:REASONS WHY HE CANT SUCCEED!!!!!!!!!!!!!
by srinagesh on Aug 06, 2008 10:40 AM  Permalink
The only reason that Chiru might not do well is his lack of experience and difficulty in understanding and making the administration and policies work. All the reasons you have cited are totally personal and it does not in any way determine the calibre of anyone. These problems are there in every family, inspite of these problems Chiru has done well to create an image for himself as a socially conscious person though in a very small way through his blood bank etc.

I think as a telugu I look forward to see him do some good for telugu people, reduce some of the higly corrupt practices. It is foolish to expect that one individual can change everything but I will be happy if he gives good administration and comes up with policies which creates better employment and reduces corruption

The way it has been going in Tollywood
by krishna sumanth on Aug 06, 2008 10:15 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

For star kids -> Try studying, Try playing, Try managing family finances. If you fail in all, become a Hero
For the stars themselves -> Keep acting in those age-old super hero movies. The movie will be a flop. Keep acting more and more and more with heroines one-third your age. If the movies don't rrun, join politics

Chiranjeevi has not yet announced his party, his agenda, his views nothing....why u people start blaming him without knowing him completley.
i am not a fan of chiru or anybody but comment him when he will come up with an agenda.he took 2 long years to understand the political scenario starting from poling booth to election of prime minister.i dont think the present so called MLAs and MPs have this knowledge.
stop blaming and wait for his words.
All the best for chiru for starting a new era in andhra politics

People are not fools. they will not look at the private affairs, negatives. bcoz this is the case with everyone. every time, look at the good things...every politician after coming in to power, making bank balances without doing anything for the people..... but do somthing good for the people...if som one wants to do good then y dont we give a chance to chiru

10 years

I think in india they should change the term from 5 to 10yrs , 5 yrs is very short and these ministers try to make money and no time to look after development, 10 yrs will atleast give them enuf time to take country fwd. other wise every 5 yrs new party comes and makes money and goes off...

HI MAX,
in 5 years theyare showing hell to people. If 10 years means taking people directly to hell...I think u fear some of ur dearest politicians will loose their power....thats how u r saying 10 years instead of 5.

Every God has his own day!!
by pokala sreekanth on Aug 06, 2008 07:55 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Reworded but must be understood by now by the viewers!. There is no doubt that he is an Industry of his own and no doubt about the credibility of the man , who is an icon among the needy (blood banks and eyebanks) and transformed the image of fan fare by making them responsible (Incredible , which other wise not possible for the fans are known for their monkey behaviour). The question is why a new party ! He can join BJP / CPM ( which are sincere like him in the approach ). May be a slide in the supporters strength , if he is attached to a party!! Thats why depsite the popular notion that many film stars join politics , to avoid Tax and gain status symbol (even after their film carrier) , I leave the judgement to the actor himself. Remember ! Indians are never known to be changed drastically in ideology ( it took tens of centuries old hard work of statesmen ).

All the best Chranjeevi!!

( personally Iam a Fan of Him ofcourse in films ! )
