Impressive post, you've written.
In our college we have 120 seats per branch. and the no'of seats for merit students...goes horribly down, i was the victim of it too.
I'm sure there comes a situation, when students feel there is no use of studying hard....and its better to be born in some lower caste or as a girl.

Good that these reservations are not yet entered in Private Jobs. Otherwise everything will be hot n sour soup.

I do not blame the politicians. I would blame the middle class/upper class voters who do not even care to VOTE once in 5 years. Consequently, they are not votebank. Why should politicians care ??
People only complain..they dont do their duty of voting... People dont contribute to the party funds of various parties and expect politicians to be clean... Participate first and then demand for rights.

I too agree with Ramesh. The remaining 14 seats should be fixed as OC quota from which merit students should get chance. Enough reservation should be stopped. 4% Musulim quota agreed by SC. Why not for Chrisians, Sikhs, Budh, Jain and Parsi minority community. Go ahead.

all except the 1st and 11th one is acceptable.
You can't judge his knowledge unless you don't know him personally. May be he has vast knowledge about current affairs. We can't comment negatively on it. However, its his family which was his biggest drawback and hurdle for his entry into politics.
When he had so much interest in helping out poor people and in social activities he should have done this much before..................not just before the elections.................................
