People of India Please beware of this type of films from west(UK & US) is only taken to show the world that India is Poor, Corrupted. They are intended to leave a very bad impression about India in each and every minds of people around the Globe.
Not a single concept in this film shows good things about India it only shows slum, Prostittion,corruption, Indian People cheating, Call centre negligence, etc.... Every concept is misleading people of world about Indians.
I feel very sorry for our Bludy actors willing to perform their roles which describes the world about the ugly part of India. Please Bollywood actors dont do these type of roles for money. Please understand the story and concept before signing any film deals especially with UK OR US Directors. Remember English People SHow something and their hidden agenda is always different adn difficult for common people to understand their real intentions.
I am really disgusted by seeing this film and my english colleage mentioning this film is a great movie.

Mr L Shankar thank god this movie doesn't show the realty of the slums.It is much worse so maybe you should stop worrying about India and hwo the world sees it.. A mere film is not going to change the realty, The movie shows a shade of what actually goes on in the slums. SO chill and have a good nights sleep and stop getting carried away with your India Is rich illusion

I dont care what world thinks about India. As an indian i m what i m and i dont need people like u to analyse what i m. As far as reality is concerned than i know that the slums and the poverty in this country are real so is the taj mehal, oberoi, trident, indian IT industry, a huge number of literate middle class working people who make a big market for the multinational companies are real as well. So i really pity on ppl like u who are indeed in the ILLUSION of india is just about slums and poverty.
slumdog is a bakwaas movie ! shows indians in very poor light and words.
Instead see c2cc which is a very entertaining international movie and promotes good relations between india and china.
I had seen lot of criticism of c2cc by paid and shameless media but still I saw the movie and it was entertaining til the core. It has to be seriously investigated who was behind to malign such a entertaining movie.

Y is it that christian missionaries dont think about the country first when they convert ppl in orissa? y is it that everytime a hindu raises a concern he is labelled as communal and asked to think about the country first.

This movie should be seen by all Indians and feel educated about how the western countries see India even though we are a nuclear weapon state and number one in IT. Earlier we used to have Mira nairs and Deepa mehta kind of self loathers for this kind of nonsense. Now the brits themselves are doing it. Good competition for the commie/liberal/mira nair/deepa mehta types.

The reason is all there to see. We should see such movies to understand the psyche of these Self hating commie idiots like Mira nairs and Deepa mehtas.
A R Rehman is great, and so are other actors. India has talented actors The script is great too. It portrays the other side of reality of being an Indian.
