Slumdog Indian!
by Ipca Activa on Jan 24, 2009 05:54 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

In India we are really true educated foolish people. We cannot judge things by ourself but depends heavily on outside motivated/self proclaimed guardian/propagandist/pseudo secular-democratic/corrupt media. I have watching very carefully the bad press report about the CC2C and good report of Gajni/RNBJ and near hysteria about Slumdog Millionaire recently. I can not understand how some pseudo serious people who comments from cold news room, who lived by some foolish audience expenses claimed that Gajni/RNBJ is a very creative and good film. Will they want to apprise only the minority community actors to appreciate the fact that they are truly secular or democratic? Do they know a good film is like of Bretheless of Jean Luc Gordard or Bicycle Thief of De Sica or Eternity and a Day of Angelopoulos. Gajni/CC2C/RNBJ all are same category film. If CC2C is a hochpoch film so is Gajni. RNBJ is more worst. But all in the same category. All are zero star film. To me the actors/Film of Hindi Commercial Movie shoul be judge by the one and only Box Office success. Where Mr. Khiladi Kumar is now a cumulative no. 1 grosser. But what I like about Mr. Akshay or Salman Khan that they are never demands that they are actors. Akshay always said I am a stuntman/dancer/comedian/fight master. (No actor) But Mr. SRK and Amir always claim they are creative personality. May be their polished languages make us believe them that they are really creative personality. But I think they are perfect hypocrite

It is true that Gajni,CC2C,RNBJ are of the same standards. I found Gajni worse than RNBJ.It is upto people to decide why should they spend money and watch such movies instead of good films like Bicycle thief or Breathless. It is painful for most Indians (educated or uneducated)to think. It is reflected in the representatives they chose in Parliaments and Assemblies.World's largest democracy has largest number of criminals, corrupts and thieves representing people. We Indians prefer to run after commotions (if created by western demi-gods it is still better)rather than apply minds. Media knows it and they make money out of it.

by muskan mathur on Jan 24, 2009 01:34 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Slumdog is the film which all Indians should boycott. This film has made fun of Indians.People must truly beware of such films from west.If there is any true Indian who has Patriotism for India they must boycott the movie. Moreover slum people are also human and calling them dog is totally inhuman and ignoble thing. So Indians raise the feeling of patriotism and bycott this film.

Slumdog Millionaire
by Guest on Jan 24, 2009 12:46 PM  Permalink

Slumdog Millionaire is an excellent film based on the lives of the poor people of Mumbai. It is truly a master class well made by Danny Boyle and well sung by A.R. Rahman. Dev Patel and Freida Pinto have done an excellent job in this great movie. it deserves an Oscar. Common Mumbai eatch this movie. It shows to Mumbai that even poor people can live a luxurious life.

Amitabh likes Karan Johar like people who don'y believe that there are any poor or even middle class people. His movies make mockery of middle class men by showing over affluence. Amitabh is very impressed by such persons. This comment was definitely not expected from Amitabh..

ranjit is not a quesiton of poverty. THe fact of the matter is the world is clapping and applauding indias poverty!! Thats the issue.

What Amitabh said is 100% true. If you are not offended by GORAS clapping in the western world when they see the poverty in india then you are anti-indian.

Thats what this film has done, its put indias poverty on the global map, basically its has made fun of indians.

by Himanshu Redij on Jan 23, 2009 03:29 PM  Permalink

i guess since amitabh couldnt make it internationally and in hollywood , he's making these comments.

what about his role in Lawaris , wher he describes himself as 'gandi naali ka kida" and " bade logo ki jhootan".
why dint indians object then>

Slumdog is an eye opener
by Amit on Jan 23, 2009 03:19 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Its a terrific movie. A must watch for all Indians. Instead of all this complaining and whining about a westerner exposing our poverty to whole world ..why not we all unite and ensure that the govt and authorities take necessary steps to revamp our Slum so that Mumbai is a better place for all of us whether they are poor or Stars!! Disparity amongst rich and poor is so huge that immediate action is warranted!!

buddy... Indian politicians, least told about politicians from Maharashtra, have made just SOOO much money and are still making money by diverting all the funds for those poor ( never include the caste ). It would take another millenium for Mumbai to be better place for all.

This movie should be an eye opener for all of us... Instead of complaining and whining that one westener has shown over poverty side to the entire world.. why cant we stay unitd against the government and authorities for revamping our slums and make mumbai a better place to live for all Indians/mumbaikars whether they belong to Slums or are stars!!.
