I saw Slum dog millionaire yesterday, its an awesome movie. I have seen nothing controversial in this movie because the story revolving around slums shown in the movie is a reality and everyone should accept this fact. The problem with us is that we do not want accept the reality in movies. We appreciate movies like Ghajini & RNBDJ because they are masala movies where 4-5 beautiful songs are picturized with a small love story thats it the movie is superhit? Our bollywood industry still needs more maturity and more creative directors like Danny Boyle.
I was totally upset when I saw the movie and I cant't beleive that this ype of movies get a stand in oscar awards. I agree with Mr Amitabh Bacchan as well that Oscar awards is not an only awards in world which can be more prestigous
I saw the movie yesterday and am surprised that it can get Golden Globe awards and further shocked to see it being nominated for Oscars. A horrible story with extreme impossible unnecessary scenes. The movie was just made for western world for whom poverty and slums are entertaining and can understand why it made to Golder Globe and Oscars.
ALL Thre films which nominated in oscar i.e mother india, lagan,and now s.d though not fully indian film has i common things people were deprived and poor.y not classic mugleazam,or TZP,saparsh,salim langde pe mat ro, or very recently urban class film but which was well made like corporate.fashion page 3, chandani bar, wednesday was nominated to oscar? amitabh has rightly said oscar is not scale to judge any actor or film indian films has its own meaning

whats new in slumdog much before mira naier made salam bombay,other then this dharvi, chakra,mirch masala was made but just because it was made by Indian they did not won oscar...there is many flaws in S.D how can a police can be behind to a aperson who have won realty show...TZP deserve more then slum dog to win any award
