Jodha Akbar is no match for Mughal-e-Azam in Black and White. The splendour of the visuals, the presence of Prithviraj Kapoor, Dilip Kumar, Durga Khote and Madhubala, the sheer power of the language --both dialogue and lyrics--, the rousing energy and emotion of the music is a benchmark all its own. Gowarikar's chief handicap was the thin plot and the weak dialogue. The music, including the qawwali is totally out of sync with the intention of the film-maker. The colour-scheme is simplistic--green, saffron/orange/red, and white. Lagaan's music lurks underneath. Almost as if O paalan haare was about to be repeated when Aish runs to her pooja room to pray for a wounded Akbar. It must have been tempting for Gowarikar to try it. Sorry Asutosh bhai.Try something else next time. The message tucked in simply paled .The romance never took off. Sorry again

Pakistan's population is 68 times smaller than india's and they are not far behind. There economy is only 3 times smaller. -- Are you insane? Which school do you claim to study?
I have seen more pakistanies and muslims than you, after living in middle yeast for the last 5 years. Let me tell you, pakistanis are warm people but majority of them support some sort of extremism. More like good people mislead by religion.
Most of them hate politics and prefer islamic rule, like taliban. That is especially true for undeucated pakisatnis. Pakistan just started its journey to dark years, it si the same feeling expresed by Benazir. A country of zero tolerance, religious extremism.
You will understand the real situation when you come across the avg. people. Toppers, especially when they are in US have to maintain a political correctness. Dont mistake it for the entire population!

If they are such cool people where is their conscience?? why is Pakistan a country of 99% Muslims? why is it that all minorities had to flee and no 'nice people' spoke out? why is it that Pakistan army committed a Genocide in E Pakistan where the Hindus were ethnically cleansed by Expressed Military clause? How come such nice people let their country degenerate into an Islamic hellhole?? back up your observation by reason. Being courteous, generous, hospitable is not enough for a conscientous people...you need to develop tolerance, strengthen institutions..Islam will never allow that to happen, and Pakis never had the guts to speak out against Islamists.
I do not understand why the people (the so called Rajputs) are opposing the movie. If they have any objection on the script, they must critisize the left dominated History writers who have written the History and what we are studying since childhood. A MUST SEE MOVIE ATLEAST ONCE FOR ITS GR...E..A..T PICTURIZATION
i loved the movie. i admit it was lengthy but at the end of the day i felt great watching it. i liked the love blossoming between jodha and jalaal. moreover secens that suggest sensuality is so subtly out that you almost off your seat. one of the memorable scenes for me is the one when jalaal is sword fighting in the air and jodha watches him doing so. how she admires him, and whats most interesting is that jalaal is almost flaunting his muscles. this is cute scene and a powerfull one. in the corner of his eye jalaal finds his wife admiring him, therefore flaunts his manliness. the passion, love, manliness, ego, pride, power, humanity, strength all come together in this movie.

may be cz they are too rude. you def cant pass comments of religious nature. If you did not like the movie, you have all the right to say it, but not put it in a nasty way passing rude statements reg' religions.. n that's why probably ur comments are blocked.
