Anniyan, if I have to punish you, I will ask you to see Shivaji 5times a day for a complete year. Then you will realize that talking just on the basis of region is so stupid. Rajni is star because of camera and technology. He can catch bullets and chew them. Can he do this in real life. See Chak de India. It helps you understand that being Indian is more important than being a Punjabi, tamil or a telgu.
The Film is based on true story of Indian Hockey player Mir Ranjan Negi . Negi was the unfortunate goalkeeper of the Indian Hockey Team which lost 7-1 to Pakistan in Asian Games Hockey Final , back in 1982 . Though the loss was engineered by faults of the entire team, Negi the goalkeeper was dubbed the villain, and was even tagged as a traitor . Such accuasations brought about an untimely End of Negi%u2019s international career. Negi redeemed his lost glory 16 years later, when he coached the Indian Men%u2019s Hockey team in Bangkok Asian Games 1998 , where the team fetched Gold medal. He replicated the success with Indian Women%u2019s Hockey Team as well in Manchester Commonwealth Games of 2002- Courtesy- Wikipedia

Thats the same repeat there. I do agree that the problems faced by women is unique but so are the problems faced by a black kid at "The mighty ducks". The story actually goes around showing the problems faced by the overweight kid, and so on, like the one here in the bollycat version with diff states.
Its just the indian masala added here and there, to make the movie spicy.
By the way, you havent answered my previous question. Why there hapends to be a lot of similarity between chack de and "the mighty ducks"??????

I do not watch "the mighty ducks". So I cant comment on that. After seeing that movie I can answer. But my dear friend I have more respect to Ny TIMES than you. They must knew about "mighty Ducks". But they still said that Chak De is unique. So I think their movie knowledge is far better than u.
If chack de is an inspiration of the true events of a goalie of india. Then why is sharuk the best forward for india???? which is exactly the same position of the hero in "the mighty ducks"
Common guys call a spade a spade. here are the simalar things found in this movie
1.The first scene is the penalty shoot where Emilio Est?z would loose the penalty shot and be thrown out of the Ice hockey team. returns as a coach. 2.The scene where the girls in the hindhi version fight in a Mcdonalds is a direct lift where his(Emilio Est?z) team would pick up a fight in a bar. 3. The team would also be facing a strong team but even thought they where to loose that game, they would get accolades like this team gets for facing a mens team.

its ironic really. They have a real story right here in india but they went over to copy from a hollywood movie.
I think the bolly guys did not know about the real indian goalie at that time but when the movie was released, the goalie came out to make himself famous.

@kalimuthu Mir Negi can be seen in the first scene of the movie showing the india pakistan match so dont talk bullshit
Wow..what a movie..gr8 performance by all and really good story(found later that it a real-life story of Mir Ranjan Negi)..What the movie had done?? Made a die-hard cricket fan,interested in hockey and looking forward to hockey matches in the future..
what a movie this film is an inspiration the film gives us hope a reason to fight to achieve our goal. What a brilliant performance by shah ruk khan he desrves an award for his outstanding performance u can almost feel his pain. Superb must watch for every indian
