by hansa jeswani on Aug 13, 2007 10:28 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I saw the movie on Saturday.....It is a beautifully directed movie.....and camera work is snappy.....loved every bit of it....it's fast pace...makes u laugh cry and a feeling of patriotism....does spring up....Hats off to Shimit Amin....who brings...such a lovely ensemble of 16 girls...makes them act like true blue actresses...( specially miss Chautala...she was amazing...with her accent and dialogues...)...Shahrukh Khan....is good...though his best was Swades...however this performance is second best .....He proves his mettle once again....Way to go...

A very good movie. Every Indian should watch! No masala as usual movie, to the point. Very entertaining, inspiring, relevant and above all too good Shahrukh! Wat else do you want! Come on CHAKDE! India.

Extraordinary Movie......
by Gung on Aug 13, 2007 10:03 AM  Permalink

Incredible. SRK is at his best he acted with an effortless ease. he simply rocked...Adi..at last you made some sensible stuff. this movie is entirely a different one. unlike typical yashraj productions which contains nothing but punjabi functions NRI romances....all nonsense ....the director is amazingly talented to film a on this kind of very risky story line. not only did he create a momentum but he carried it throughout the movie. its undoubtedly a total entertainer in recent times. the cast is also great....especially the character "Bindya Nayak" is laudable..

Chak de India!
by Rajinder Katoch on Aug 13, 2007 09:46 AM  Permalink

Yesterday(Sunday), I saw this movie, CDI with family. And the response at Chankaya was overwhelming. There were claps, roar and whistles and frankly speaking, I really liked the movie as the movie doesn't lose its tempo even for a minute. What next, is the feeling a viewer gets through out! The CDI team has worked even on the minute details of the hockey, board room politics and feelings of players. Also, the movie has given a very true regional colours of the players. SRK in the movie is excellent as a coach. Obviously, he is also aging, but this movie is not a love story, so looks doesn't matter. As Delhities, we knew this fact that SRK had been a good sportsman in his school days and this helped him to understand the subject better. Moreover he still dribbles hockey with ease. My advice, Indians must see this movie as this brings closer our hidden aspirations of becoming Indians first and regional second. This movie is a step further in the same direction. Go ahead guys and must watch the movie.

Mir Ranjan Negi
by Mangal Singh on Aug 13, 2007 09:25 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Any one notice that in the time of India-Pakistan match Mr. Mir Ranjan Negi himself played the role of Indian coach. And Mr. Mir himself helped the crew of the film by giving coaching to the girls. I saw in NDTV that the real players of that India-Pakistan match also saw the movie. And they also admitted that the story is very close to reality. Some of them was into tears in the theater. Because its a true story. so those ppl are saying its a copy actually cant see SRK's success. So they started to doing propaganda that the movie is copy etc etc etc. And I want to inform those people that there are many Hollywood films also which are copy of other foreign film. Till today many films of Hollywood is copied from great Japanese director Akira Kurosawa' film. Like even Sholay also copied from Akira Kurosawa's Seven Samurai. So stop making propaganda.

If the movie is liked by the majority, then it is a succesful one even if it is copied or remade, does not matter

SRK looks very ugly in Chakde
He has the guts only to mould girl's ass.
Why can't he take up with Indian Men's Hockey
since it's in terrible situation and need's some inspiration.
