The choice we make should be a very highly rated actor who in reality does not deserve the rating. To that extent we should exclude Abhishek, SRK, Salman etc. because nobody takes their name in the same breath as Nasseruddin Shan, Om Puri, Amol Palekar, Dustin Hoffman, Merryl Streep etc. My surprise choice is Kamal Hassan. He is very highly rated for his very multifaceted performances. I nominate him for being most over rated because his individual performances look very authentic, but when his performances are studied as a whole and also when we scratch the naunces of each role, we find that he tries too hard to look casual and natural. This is like taking a lot of care to look carefree & the care actually showing!! To an extent this is a trait shared with Dilip Kumar who used to practice method acting.

I do'nt agree.Ca'nt accept SRK is an actor if you do'nt consider enacting self as acting.
I fail to understand why is everyone after SRK for admitting that he would be happy to dance in any body's wedding provided he is paid well or for being blunt that he is no.1 /King. He is right as the BO collection of his moviews show (which we guys watch ;)) I believe it stems from a low self esteem with hints of jealously. If not - tell me honestly, if any of us would have been in his shoes and able to make good money for few min. of dancing - would be decline..dont think so. Issue here is most of us are not happy that he is earning so much for simple things like dancing whereas we are getting grinded day-by-day on monthly basis, taxes being cut afrom our salaries, inefficient govt. power-cuts and more issues. But is SRK responsible for all this - ofcourse NO. It's a simple case of not being happy with someone's else progress.

Hi Gurpreet,
Every one is after SRK because it is a trend to bring the no 1 down.
Actors like SRK have not only performed all kinds of roles with ease, but are alos awarded with a lot of business acumen.....something the amitabh's , the dilip kumar's could never do.....
Hence these kind of reactions....
Hmmm...Over rated actor has to be Amitabh from that list.

I think you should see SWADESH and then decide the acting ability of SRK. I admit that he is nothing infront of Aamir, but he is pretty decent.
