Rediff shuld give SRK an award for this, so that along wit all those FILMFARE TROPHIES that he HAS BOUGHT and adornd his house with - he can the most over rated one too..Sure his buddies Karan,Farah and wifey Gauri would b proud of it!!
Amir Khan is by far the most over rated actor in Indian cinema. It can be deduced from the fact that not many will agree with this statement. But if you look at his performances you will see that though he has done good movies his performance has never been exceptional. He is intelligent and has good understanding of cinema which reflects in his selction of roles and the kind of movies he wants to do, but his acting abilities are much over rated. Naseer, Ompuri, Manoj Bajpai, Shreyas, Hrithik and even SRK are far better actors than him.

Aamir is an alrounder. He underplays his role to perfection. He never overacts. calling him overrated is cruel.

SRK is an ordinary actor(except 1 or 2) with extra ordinary luck. Hes called King Khan coz hes a great entertainer on stage, very instinctive, quick-witted and friendly with the media but if u consider only acting then hes definitely over rated.

Rediff is right in not putting in the name of SRk in the list of "ACTORS"....hehehe..most over rated superstar....well that he is..!!!
It is very very obviously Mr. Shahrukh Khan. He may still be a very popular actor. But that doesn't make him a great actor. It's surprising that you have not mentioned Shahrukh Khan in your list of "probables".
rediff is Biased and it shows here again why they have nor put up Sharukh khan's name in here .They have listed some names like people have to choose amongst this list grow up rediff leave this bias rather then putting up name or feeding names just pop the question and let people answer on their own

Your assessment is absolutely correct on Abhishek Bacchan, Karan Johar and SRK. Here Abhishek Bacchan is the worst. I don't know why Karan Johar is on top. He is a below average Director. Yes, SRK is a good actor but certainly not the number one. Then, Akshay Kumar and Salman Khan. They are smart guys but not good actors.

Nandita Das said tht bollywood does not even represent 1% of india and all hollywood academy award winners know of hindi cinema as, song-dance,beatiful costumes-sets,cuisine and thts abt it.
So don't assume south indian actors to expect ther is a huge world outside south india in the country.
Bollywood is the one who needs psychiatry to help them see there is a huge world outside juhu and bandra.
