can you imagine someone like rajni doing a robot thing.. form what angle he looks like a machine.. this role was given to hrithik first but this movie is bwing directed by a tamilian so you know... rajni and 20 crore ha ha.. what a shame, taxi driver

Garuav Get the facts right, the story is not yt disclosed by director and how come you say tht rajinikanth plays the robot.
The director never approachd hrithik, he first approached srk and then tamil actor ajith. Aftr not comin to terms w/srk and havin date problms w/ajith, thn he went to rajinikanth.
Anyways, aishwarya has not acted in tamil films for close to decade, and now a tamil director wants her b.c he worked w/her whn she ws in tamil films. Otherwise, tamilians hav forgottn aishwarya.

I think u cant judge the topic.Akki is far away from any controversy and cheap media. Have u heard about anyhting wrong about him? He's most adorable,down to earth actor,got that position without any god-father like Yashraj,Karan Johar and Farah Khan,So try to analyse the truth.shame on u.

I think they will, since rediff announced srk as worst actor of 2007 whn a survey of worst movies,actors,actresses came up couple of months of ago.

chup be shakti kapoor....the best directors of Bollywood chose to wrk with him..starting from Ashutosh Gowarikar, Sanjay leela, yash chopra, aditya chopra, karan johar....and the list goes on......u think u r smarter than those guys....amir khan no doubt is a gud actor...but u can't take anythin away from SRK and its the common public who has given him the numero uno title....so ppl like u will alwys keep shouting coz u don hv balls 2 match his popularity even in dreams..BIG B is a legend....he shuldnt b even compared...

Karan johar started his career w/srk and kuch kuch hota hai. He wsn't a sucess before tht and aftr srk acted in all his films. Likewise, aditya chopra got famous for DDLJ and before tht, he wsn't a success either.
Tht leaves only bhansali and yash chopra. But according to bhansali, he pefers salman khan over srk thts why salman got to work w/him in 3 films. Poor srk, i felt sorry for him whining on filmfare of why he did not get picked by bhansali like his friend salman.
So again tht leaves w.only yash chopra who ws the only successful director b/f srk came along. Not much of a success list, huh!!

Best Directors to work with?? Or have they become best directors after working with him?? Aditya Chopra,karan Johar and Farah Khan. They all made their first film and all other films with SRK. So didn't they cash on SRK's popularity. I think SRK played with risk by doing first movies for his friends. Think!!!!
Let's first define who we call a complete actor. Anyone who 1. Can do any type of role (His/her range must be large enough to cover almost all types of roles) 2. has a decent and presentable personality 3. has high speach skills (pronounciation) In this set of parameters, personality should have lowest weight. if we put all actors through this list, we will find that most actors will not pass the test. For example: SRK has a limited range, he can do mushy roles better.Akshay kumar has bigger range then him. Amir's range is also limited. He has yet to convince in a role like 'Bazi'. So, SRK, Amir, Devgan,Dutt, Saif etc keep doing similar type of roles which they think they could do. This is not wrong, but this creates an impage among people, which takes over the acting skil issue. These actors will sell until that image sells. Becuase of this image, they become over rated. I think, SRK is the most over rated actor, then Saif, next is Aishwarya Rai.
Among those who would fit well in the parameter above are Dilip Kumar, Amitabh, Naseer, Paresh Rawal, Om Puri, Hritik Roshan (would be intersting to see him a comic role), Shabana, and Vidhya Balan.

I agree, I missed out on Guru Dutt. As for, hritik Roshan I thought that he did mushy roles (Koi..etc), negative roles(D2, Mission..), acted in a period film with aplomb (JA), Superman role (for this I think no one among the eixting lot of actor cam do a role like that). I would like Hrithik to do a comic role. That role will redefine his range. But, readers can disagree beucase this is my personal opinion. Thanks.
I agree what ever u said but it's strange to see hrithik name in your list of best actors. Y hrithik what has he done to be in the list of defined by you.

good critique Mr.Vishwajeet...but i can't quite agreee with u on Vidya balan and i find Guru dutt is far more versatile than Dilip Kumar...as u say Hrthik is a fine actor but only needs to hone his comic timing

Hrithik roshan now can do only action roles and he wants to stick to tht image of the cool dude. In jodha akbar, he ws very stiff and did not look comfortable enacting a biopic role, since this ws a romanctic story i admit tht hrithik performd this romantic role of akbar way better thn all his romantic roles before koi mil gaya.
But still i think the only best performnce so far from all his movies is displayed in koi mil gaya. So i would suggest you to put him on the list w/srk,amir,devgan,saif. Same goes w/amitabh and dilip kulam.
Only paresh rawal,nasser,shabana, and om puri fit ur parameters in hindi cinema.

for aamir khan check movies like andaz apna apna, sarfarosh,jo jeeta wahi sikandar, lagaan, akele hum akele tum and list goes on. What types of movies u need to declare him versatile. man he is genious. SRK ofcourse is the most overrated actor till date.

Dont get angry Jain Sahab.Please do not include Chopras and johar in the list with AG or SLB becuase chopras and johar make hit movies and hit movies can not necessarily be great. You dont remember KJs movie for a complelling scene or heart rendering act, but dances by girls in skimpy clothes or shot in NY or Australia. You might like SRK and that's fine. But mind you, popularity does not mean class act in every case.
its srk!!1 but if he gets the highest number of votes, will rediff reveal it...? I have my doubts!!! Please odnt say amitabh.. look at the guy... his acting skillss plus the personality dont compare with rikchaw driver like amir and srk... though amir is much accomplished actor than srk.. who on the name of acting does everything and lies that he likes it.. he is tru hypocrate!!!

This discussion is useless by Rediff. Any sensible man can tell the truth that SRKKKKK is most over-rated man by media,Farah Khan and Karan Johar.I dont know why these teams prefer to only SRK when we've Stars like Aamir,Akki. SRK uses each popular platform to get publicity where common ppl connect i.e. News Channels(Star News @ no.1),Cricket,Hockey and many brands.He always criticizes BIg B,Aamir.He's much jealous with these ppl.I think he's over but his leankage with a "big political party" gives him more films and money,power for this all. Hence, most over-rated actor Filmfare award goes to one and only "King Kong".(some foolish,childish girls wont like my comment,but sorry).

His OSO made 170 Crores.Do you think indian audience is stupid enough to watch his films becuase he promotes those everywhere. I am not a big fan of him, but I think he is not over-rated, he has something thats why he has audience of 3.5 Billions (and they say he is most selling actor on this globe).

For your info.OSO earned due to tasteless NRIs,in India many ppl didn't like OSO.I dont think OSO has anything to watch,Chak De,TZP,Bhool Bhulayan r far better movies.OSO is just hype and the songs gone hit.

But currently dont forget Saif and Kareena. BIg B cant compete as SP lost all elections and others r blaming Big B due to controversies like Farmer's land,gifts etc.He's much busy for Small B,but he'll not be successful.
