SRK, hrithik, abishek, all cant act, but get so much media publicity because idiots in the north dont know what real eacting is.
Come to the south, you will see real acting. Try some movies of Kamalhassan (most versatile, can act in any character), Rajnikanth, Vikram, Jeeva (of Katrudhu Thamizh fame), mammooty, mohanlal, etc. All these are very good actors, who have been commercial super stars.
Hindi actors act in one movie and then stupid media builds up so much hype, and all the stupid north indians go and watch them.

Stupid Hindi films are watched by nationwide biharis, Hindi is not watched in South India, only muslims watch Hindi movies because they have muslim actors and actresses....

hindi films r watched all over india. except in tamil nadu bcoz they don,t know hindi. tamilians r jealous of hindi films n stars. hindi stars n films r far far better than these stupid idiotic tamil films n actors. hindi is not the language of only muslims. its the languages of all indians.

Only Kamalahassan and Mohanlal are fantastic actors. Mammooty was good initially. Rajnikanth is also more hype than substance, but atleast he is a humble person and has not let success go to his head. I have watched Vikram and Jeeva, nothing special. There are equally good Bollywood actors.

sorry. rajini is world,s most stupid actor. next to him is vijay. both r good for nothing. only style. no acting. and more stupids r the fans of the these two who thinks they aare good. all their films r remakes of malayalam, telugu n hindi hit films. bcoz they cannot make a film hit by there acting. really mammootty, mohanlal, aamir,amithabh,ajay devgun and kamalhassan r the great actors of india.

Dont agree. I m bengali, I m a huge fan of Hindi movies. My friends are Gujratis, Punjabis, Marathis,Kannadigas and Sindhis....we all go to watch Hindi movies. So saying that Hindi movies is only for U.P. and Bihar people is not only a lie but a proof of ones level of stupidity.
after reading the msges that have been posted..one gets the feeling dat many ppl do not knw the meaning of over-rated. AN OVER-RATED PERSON IS SOMEONE WHO HAS BEEN OVER-VALUED, HYPED AND GIVEN MORE CREDIT AND ADULATION THAT WHAT IS DUE TO HIM.

Actors(Male) SRK, Abishek Bachchan, Amitabh Bachchan ( to an extent). Actors(Female) Aishwarya Rai, Urmila Matondkar, Katrina Kaif. They form a part of this gang!

I think most of the people understand what overrated means when voting. The voting trends suggest a near unanimous opinion. You have voted on the same lines. I only disagree with your assessment of Urmila. I feel she was always talented, never given her due.

A word of advice. Try to ignore someone who is abusive. Anyway, there are some very genuine comments in the threads. Its good people have shown so much interest. By the way, I appreciate your opinion, only disagree with assessment of Urmila.

Hands down its him..atleast the fact that SRK has come from the non film back ground and is mostly a self made man (not that i prefer him in anyway over Amir khan) but Abhishek bacchan will take the cake when its comes to counting over rated actors..he just keeps reapeating the same kind of characters over and over again (the angry young man type)which used to work initially but it has now become monotonus..he was piss poor in a comedy (in JBJS..where Bobby Deol walkd away with accolades ..besides dont even get me started on the cameos..for which i am sure he will create a world record..!!

Abhishek has improved recently. He was horrible initially. Guru made him look good, I think the credit for that should also go to Mani Rathnam.

Abhishek's performances in guru ws a little bit better thn in yuva. But still mani ratnam has a long way to go to get a good acting out of bachan. In guru ther wer some scenes wher abhishek relived his character from yuva in guru, and in the scene whn he gave the speech in court ws the mr.hyde of dr.jekyl in yuva.
The point is, abhishek has the tendency to stay in the same mould in depictin his characters. Evn ram gopal varma seemed to lurk in the angry old man of his dad into abhishek.
On the other hand, madhavan improves movie after movie under mani ratnam, and so did arvind swamy and karthik whn working in mani's films.
But abhishek is the first actor tht repeats the same kind of performnces is his past film, except he is clean shaven in guru.
Anyways, abhishek still has a long way to go and he is also kind of overrated in the choice of movies he picks.

Yes SRK is really overrated because all the readers over here cant achive even 10 % of what SRK has achieved.

guys one has to understand that no individual can survive for 15 years at the top in a highly competitive industry only with the support of media.
Unless somebody has talent he or she will dwindle out in one year flat.
SRK has ruled for 15 years goes on to show that he has got enoromous talent and charishma, which should be respected without being racially biased.

I disagree on urmila b.c not only is she a good actress but a good dancer. She ws given her due but she has disappeared for a while, and tht makes her inconclusive in this ballot of overrated actress.
I do agree the rest of actresses and actors. But put in hrithik roshan,john abraham,kareena kapoor in the list too.
1)Salman is offcourse one of them,for past 11 years since he came in Body-Builder avatar he has been a waste!! 2)SRK-All overacting and copy,though his intensity is all for appreciation,he is more like a clone of dilip kumar. 3)Abhishek Bachchan-The guy stands in Industry because His father. 4)Fardeen khan,Jayed khan,Aftab shivdasani,-these guys are just forgettable on screen but still they get hype on screen. in 60's Mr.Firoz khan,Sanjay Khan were too over-rated. 5)Kareena Kapoor-She is full of over acting! Because of these over-rated personnels ,actors like Irfan Khan,KAy Kay Menon,Manoj Bajpai,AShutosh Rana,Ranvir they all will struggle in this industry.
sucker of sharukh or kaharukh khan, see his acting in raamjaane or phir bhi dil hein hindustani, you will understand he is just the most over hyped and most over acted personality, ad still rediff has the daring to make a list of stars who are real actors
