Its definitely the Joker Khan ShahRukh Khan the most over-rated, over hyped actor in the film industry.
Since Rediff has done this poll and now Rediff should be responsible to publish and declare on their headlines. Rediff must honour the public response who majority has voted ShahRukh Khan as over-rated.
95% of the people here have voted ShahRukh Khan as most over-rated and Rediff must honour the voice of the public and honour this poll respectfully.

To all those dear voters: Despite 90 pages of posts on this topic voting for SRK unanimously as over-rated and 'hyper-hyped' actor, and only extremely negligible count differing from this, still Rediff will not declare SRK as winner. Probably it will say Aamir, Akshay, Salman or big B- whoever SRK will feel happy abt.
And thats when its gonna be clearly visible to the still-unsuspecting community, how much a media-hyped, media-created and media-owning junk, SRK is.
Already a biggest proof was there 2 yrs back, with PAHELI nominated for Oscars, just coz LAGAAN went in the year before.
But despite i myself voting SRK as most over-rated, i also hav a feeling that he is UNDER-UTILIZED ACTOR and EXPLOITED ENTERTAINER. I think he has done a good job in few movies like Swades, Darr and DDLJ, which means he has got the potential. But he has safely taken chopper-service to reach Mt.Everest, instead of mountaineering and asks us back "i reached same destination, so whats the big deal & fuss?".
And KJ and FK are the biggest enemies and murderers of SRK's acting skills. They have killed SRK's hunger for acting and his talent. By their repeat movies, they are making sure that his acting talents are burnt down to ashes and the ashes are buried in mines too.
Lets wait and see, how openly Rediff is going to make us all fools, when publishing the results.

We need to concentrate more on the issues facing the nation such as Farmer suicides, economic slowdown, growing political violence and naxalism, povert etc than wasting time on such topics..Dear all - please contribute to any poor child's education or needy's family expenses , orphanages etc.

Dear Kishore - We do not get anything by concentrating on farmer suicides.But just wanted to emphasise that the topic being debated has seen 1051 messages and sadly reflects the interest in Films which Indians are increasingly getting addicted to.We have to go , just watch films and get back to work than giving very high importance.There are crazy fans in Maharashtra, AP and Tamilnadu because of which many families have suffered and there are misguided youths who fail to understand that reel is not real.
Ye... he's the most over rated star.As he always overacts & yet calls himself the king. Think he should be gifted a 5th class Social studies text book, so that he wud realise wat a king is? wat say guys??????????
Aishwarya rai. She has done some crap english movies and has been over rated as an international star. She hasn't done a main stream hollywood flick till now.

Yes i agree. Aish is the most over-rated actor. Her last hit was actually Devdas in 2002. Dhoom-2 and Guru were hit bcoz of Hritik and Abhishek. No other contribution.

yeah i agree with you and none of her so called crossover(international) flicks have made a mark.... she is a pathetic actress and yet she creates a hype after getting married to another overhyped family that is over exposed on the TV..
I think so the most overrated actor in India is SHah Rukh. Calling him King and all is too much. Its not that he is the worst actor in India, its just that crowning him King and all is not worth it for his skills.
These two are the most overrated actor and actress respectively. Ranbir did one idiotic movie and ppl are calling him the star?? Jesus.. Why on earth was he awarded the best debutant. I think Neil Mukesh(Johhny gaddar) or Even Himesh deserved it more. Regarding Rani Mukherjee, the less said the better about this lilliput with a 2km wide mouth. Pain. Her acting so over the top that even T Rajendran in Tamil Nadu wud feel inferior.

why not rajnikanth? I think he is the most most overrated actor in the world not only in India.
Still I like his moview for some hilarious stunts :-)
