He is media man and his films do well coz media delcares them as hits before they actually do..pulling more n more crowd ..but honestly except Chak De, his recent movies like Don and Om Shanto OM were craps... Just after few months these movies r gone from public memory...a film is genuine hit only when it remains in public memory for long long time... SRK movies are hit till 4 or 5 weeks by the time they do good business and then fade away..in my opinion he is the most overrated Actor comparing the attention he is getting from media

Chak De is a Script-writer/Director's movie. Replace SRK with any star and the movie would be a hit..infact he screwed up some scenes i remember when he was leaving the place..Stupid actor and he pays money to win filmfare awards! No wonder Aamir has stopped attending such pay-and-get award ceremonies
All the actors mentioned by Rediff are without doubt good actors. Some of them like Kamalahasan, Nasseruddin Shah, Amir Khan,and Anupam Kher are outstanding actors. Kamalahasan, for example, had played out most of the roles an actor can dream of by the time he was 40. Such actors will have to reinvent themselves and most of the above mentioned actors have branched out to other areas like screenplay writing and direction. Kamalahasan has to his credit some of the best screenplays ever written in Indian Cinema and both he and Amir have excelled in the field of direction. So to say they are over-rated is missing wood for the trees. The Badshah of Bollywood doesn't find mention in this august list. What does that mean? Isn't he rated at all??
This is a no brainer by a long mile. SRK it is. People in the north might be tempted to point at Rajinikant, but given a role, Ranji can act really well, and that's how he started out before getting trapped in his image. But SRK, with his much repeated mannerisms, his dependency on an entertaining script to deliver a hit etc, make his the obvious choice. Do you ever remember SRK giving a power packed performance, like AB in many of his earlier movies, where he was just magnetic, and often made mediocre films watchable ? No way SRK can do that. Kamal Hassan should not be even in the options, as he, along with Mohanlal, Naseeruddin Shah and a few others, just need an extremely gifted and intelligent director to be at their best. So, in a way, they are trapped too - but there is no dearth of sheer talent in this case. With SRK, it is !!!
LISEN GUYS EVERYONE VOTE FOR SRK EVEN IF U DONT THINK HE IS MOST OVERATTED....LETS SEE IF REDIFF HAS THE GUTS TO PUT HIM IN THE LIST....OTHERWISE IT WILL SHOW THAT SHAH RUKH REALLI DOES PAYS REDIFF....PS...on the above list there looks like they forgot a name...hmmmm
