Without SRK this list of Over rated Actor is useless.... so please Add him and I am sure he is going to win this Over rated Actor Contest with huge margin
I know many will be surprised... but he is the most drastically over-rated actor... the one good thing about him is that he selects great subjects/stories... Apart from that as an actor he is very very over-rated.... See his best of the best movies... other actors have completely overpowered him... name it.. --Lagaan - it was the performances of the so-called team members that u remember... --Dil Chahta hai - Saif was too good --Mangal Pandey - It was Aamir's film - did it flop?? --Rang de basanti - Siddharth and Sharman joshi were the heroes --Finally, Taare Zameen Par - Everyone knows who stole the show..
The fact is that he cannot single handedly make the audience watch him for 3 hours.... like SRK did in Swades, Darr.. for e.g. Aamir can't do that..

Aamir is one of the most unselfish and sporting actors around, a real team player to whom the film as a whole is more important than individual credit. All that Anees Basha has written reveals the typical attitude of the SRK fan/ aamir-hater seen spewing jealous venom on bollywood related message boards.Aamir has contributed to his films in a holistic manner, doing his own part well, yet allowing others to shine, very often being a useful and unofficial AD to the director.Aamir by himself or with others---one can watch this amazing ACE for 3 hours plus easily.No way is Aamir overrated.

Hey Anees, in Swades for instance, if Aamir was the actor, i definitely think the show would be similar, if not, better. There is nothing unique that srk could bring to the floor. and i cant imagine srk in bhuvan's shoes. he definitely would have spoiled the taste by his "hakling" trying to dominate the others.. but poor aamir just does what the situation and story demand and gives every body their fair bit of chance. u say : "TZP : Everyone knows who stole the show.." but who allowed darsheel to steal the show? and ultimately who's success is it? delivering hits is still continuing.. aamir has already forged into directing and anees, did he succeed?? aamir is multifaceted i think!! and eventually, not as insecure as srk!!! this is my opinion on these two!!!
The reason Sharukh Khan is not added in the list is........ because forget about underrated or overrated.... rediff thinks Sharotten Khan cannot be rated as an actor. HE IS A NON ACTOR. U CANT RATE NON ACTORS... LIST OF SOME NON ACTORS.... PLEASE ADD WHO U CONSIDER AS THE TOP NON ACTOR(which means the worst in the list) My list TOP 5 1 SHAHRUKH KHAN 2 EMRAN HASHMI 3 MALLIKA SHERAWAT 4 RAKHI SAWANT (She is a real life actress) 5 ZAYED KHAN Please keep adding your favourites

srk is the best best actor in whole film industry according to me
Amitabh Bachchan was good in the 70's now he over-acts - case-in-point: Black & Aag. You can only think of 6 movies where ShahRukh Khan acted realistically - Swades, Chak de India, Dil Se, Darr, Veer Zaara & Anjaam... Apart from them, there's a lot of actors in Bollywood who're "tommorrow's stars"-they're just as bad.

Isnt it surprising that Black won Amitabh a National Award and people dont find that enough from an accomplished superstar like amitabh. Yeah and if you compare performance in Dil Se Anjaam Darr and over the top Veer Zaara as realistic... well we can understand what u think of acting
There is no way actors's names like Naseeruddin Shah and Kamal Hassan should be in this list. Naseeruddin Shah did not even got his dues as what his capabilities are. Definitely the most over rated actor of all timewill be Amitabh Bacchan. He is the reason why the meaningfull cinema was pushed aside from the mainsteram cinema. And of course the most overrated 'actor' today will be Bacchan Jr. Now he is there with the same face in every movie. (did got some impression on it in Guru). Attitude is not acting.

So Amitabh pushed aside meaningful cinema... so can u bring back meaningful cinema now as amitabh is no more the lead actor... I think Sharukh did get meaningful cinema back with MAIN HOON NA and super block buster OSO.... LOL Watch amitabh an actor in MILI FARAR ABHIMAAN NAMAK HARAM ZANJEER DEEWAR SHARABI MUKADDAR KA SIKANDAR MAIN AZAD HOON SILSILA BAGHBAN SHOLAY JHURMANA

Abhishek has the tendency to stay in the same mould and repeat the body language and personality of his previous character into his present character.
I think mani has to go a long way before getting a good actor out of abhishek, and its only his fans ar to blame for. They want a certain abhishek just like srk and think it's boring if they don't get abhishek.

Kris I think you don't understand mani ratnam. Try to see mani's movies from his perspectives only and you'll see evry actor has improved a whole new step from a previous mani film w/them.
The only exception is abhishek, he has trouble stayin in the same mould and you can see in guru only mr.hyde of dr.jekyl of yuva.
Rediff how much money did this top star pay to u???The names u have mentioned are the best in acting in Indian cinema.Specially Amir,Nasiruddin,Kamal Hassan etc.But the others are also very good.But dont understand why did u mentioned those names.There are many u can name, like John,Abhishek,Ash,Salman(nowadays) and offcourse ur favourite SRk.Instead u have mentioned those.Tell me who gave u those money to start this topic???

no one but shahrukh khan, the king of caricaturisation and bad hamming! top it up with an ugly face, fat nose, twisted eyebrows, short stature , blubber lips and a trmulous voice and u have indias most over rated actor!
