They're both terrible. And I think it's because they each have a formula that they think works. It doesn't. Both of them think intensity means shaking their heads hard enough to make their cheeks flap and speaking as though they're being strangled. If you look at movies from the time before they were megastars, they are much more watchable. For AB, Sholay or Suhaag or Chupke-Chupke were quite good. Now he's so full of himself. Just like SRK.
I am surprised by not finding SRK in the list mentioned by rediff (or shud say pro-srkdiff). SRK is one of the most over-rated actor in Indian cinema, reason being he just over-acts now (if not sure then bear OSO again, however it doesn't deserve a second...oops even a first watch). Ofcourse SRK had a very well run till date in bollywood, but now he does everything other than acting, and against camera its only over-acting. No doubt this over-acting helped him being over-rated as well as to notch No.1 position.
As is clear from the response SRk isthe winner hands down. But the problem with srk is that he is most popular for his crap movies like OSO, KANK KKHH etc where he was ranging from poor to mediocre at best.Even last year dir hard SRK fans liked him more in OSO than Chak De.This has been his undoing .I am no fan of his but really a guy who can do Swades ,Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa cant be that bad .Swades was easily his the best of his career actually of any actor's career .It was so great and poignant and just magnificent . had that movie, a brilliant one been a ,hit SRK would have dared big and done work with some truly great dirs like mani ratnam,ashutosh,his career graph would have been so diff. So SRK here's the wake up call dude you have it in you just do the right stuff and not the crappy and crowd pleasing one. Another actor I feared would go the SRK way after is initial heady success was Hrithik.My fav actor of all time. But he has realised the worth of dirs,scripts,story,range over camps and the result is for everyone to see .Jodha Akbar is magnificent Way to Go hr u are on your way to become great ,greater , greatest.........
akshay kumar no doubt he is the king of over acting....pathetic actor he don't know how to act he is just fooling the people by doing cheap comedies....

i think its naseeruddin shah. never understood why critics & viewers love his acting prowess so much. i do relise however that i'm in a minority here.....
Feels great not to see SRKs name in the list. I suppose he doesn't come under this category as he is a star and no-where related to "actor" category. So no question of overrated or underrated :P
