Mr./Ms. Lapo for your kind information Marathi Movies have done very well inspite of stiff competition from Hindi Movies. As per your opinion If Marathi movies are bakwas then Shwaas would not have gone to Oscar and Tingya would not have gone to Canes film festival. Subhash Ghai & Zee Tv. would not have produced Marathi Movie.

I dont you are from North or South.. but if Rediff is publishing any news about Marathi Movies, why you are getting panic? we Maharashtrians always gives respect to Hindi & South Movies. Rediff always gives information about Rajni & Kamal's new releases then what is harm to read about Marathi developemnts? See Mumbai is a back bone of total film Industry & Mumbai is in Mharashtra that you never forget....man.

Amrit, Thats a problem with us marathis. We first give respect to people for free then expect to respect us. We should not give free access to our respect to these a h oles, who are by large tapori a holes.
Look at bihar, up, MP. I have heard about in incident in noida when 2 tapori northies went and knocked on the door of a girls house and told her father that they want to chat with his daughter.

Do you know Gr8 Mr. Bhalji Pendarkar, and Dadasaheb Falke is father of Indian cinema, and the marathi movie "Aayodhyecha Raja" is first motion film is india,,,,, then how dare 2 say like this , WE MAHARASHTRIAN HAV GR8 HISTORY and we proud of it......

It is not the case now. I think you do not have the latest update. There is good content coming in Marathi Movies. yes, the numbers are less but this would be the turning point in Marathi Cinema.

amol palekar was one of the greatest talent found. sai paranjpe(director of movies like katha and chasme badhoor) was also one of the discovery od marathi cinema. dont forget queen of bollywood, madhuri dixit.
MARATHI CINEMA'S USP LIES IN COMEDY...sachin's navra majya navsacha starring ashok saraf is the best comedy i have seen in recent years. it is non stop laughter are leagues ahead of stupid hindi comedies. COMEDIES IN MARATHI CINEMA ROCK.
