Sathya Saran and Abrar Alvi must write about good memories of Dutt couple
by Pawan on Oct 05, 2008 09:16 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

First, Gurudutta and Geeta, both are no more existing however they will always be remembered for the artistic wealth they created for us. Second, they had problems in their married life and it might have been one of the main reasons for death of Gurudutt when he was under severe depression. These are two things, and sensible people are always going to look at the good things at least about the people who are no more with us. It will be great if Sathya Saran and Abrar Alvi write about good memories of the couple and Wahidajee. That will be a very good tribute to two legendary artists, if that is the sole objective behind writing the book.

MEN!!!
by Manjula A on Jul 15, 2008 04:08 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Why are men always like this? This abrar is blaming Geeta Dutt, that lady with the magical voice for the death of Guru Dutt. Who knows what he did to her?
If every man having a possessive wife commits suicide, our population would go down disastrously.

It always happens & very true in the case of most of ladies that they suffer with jealosy.Geeta Dutt was no exception. to it. Guru Dutt & Wahida Rahman were two co-stars paired together in the most of Guru Dutt films. It was but natural for Geeta Dutt who was legally married wife Of Guru Dutt to suspect their movements & closeness together and more so, when she was prompted & influenced by her friend like Smriti Biswas. Smriti Biswas had taught Geeta Dutt ways to test whether her suspicions were valid and, if possible, catch Guru Dutt red-handed. It was something unwarranted as both Guru Dutt & Wahida Rahman were famous cine stars and much matured persons. Where was the time with them to go for love-making when they remained awfully busy days & nights with their assignments? It was Smriti Biswas who mislead Geeta Dutt & poisoned her ears against the working relationship of Guru Dutt & Waheeda Rahman. Had it been so, Guru Dutt could have never concealed as he was such a thorough gentleman at all times wedded with his work!Geeta Dutt was sadly mistaken and had committed blunder by suspecting her husband & doing his character assassination who was very loyal & truthful to her in true sense. Sathya Sharan has done an excellent job of compiling a book on Guru Dutt as featured by Abrar Alvi that will give a close look & good understanding of many facets of legendary film director Guru Dutt's life. Though, Guru Dutt had seen many ups & downs in his career but he will be remembe

Guru Dutt... to be played by Aamir Khan now.
by Gulabjamun Bhujiya on Jul 13, 2008 08:12 PM  Permalink

Mr.Guru Dutt was a legend of Indian cinema.

It seems they are making a Hindi movie about the life and times of this great man and AAMIR KHAN is going to play the Lead role i.e. he will act as Guru Dutt Saab. They showed an interview about this movie also to be titled GURU DUTT. Lets hope its a great movie. Aamir is a versatile actor and he can play any role. He fits himself into the character and researches well. All his movies these days are well done and with sincerity and great effort.

If Lagaan, where he played a peasant of the Angrezi Age was such a run away hit and went all the way to Oscar glory, Rang de Basanthi was not far behind. In RDB he played a great dual role of a character of yesteryears with brilliant make up and also played a modern day adult in college in present day India.

Let the great GURU DUTT Saab be immortalized through books and the tributes of modern day perfectionists like Aamir Khan.
