what do you mean by respectable figures? did you watch the other photograh..where this lady is standing with...some idiots....It look like they are participating in a body build..competetion....so sad to see the RESPECTABLE FIGURES in this manner.........
We are fortunate that we have grown up watching B.R's mahabharat. Casting was perfect, no noisy background music, fantastic narration, all sub-stories were covered well. Sad that current generation will have to watch this version of mahabharat. watched its first episode and wondering what was on Ekta's mind while creating this shit?

BR Chopra Mahabharath has an end but Ektha Kapoors Mahabharath will not end in 21st century
remember gufi pantel in shakuni?? compare with this shakuni...looks like idiot. the pandavs with 2 day subtle look like models... duryodhan was more of a "modern" villian... above all the character of bhishma... mihir virani can never come close to mukesh khanna...wud rather buy cds of old mahabharat... wonderful starcast... fine songs sung by mahendra kapoor.. draupadi is shown like an item girls...
The first episode was a big let down. Draupadi..... sad acting. Costumes..... are we in roman era? Daler Mahendi.... what a big let down from Mahendra Kapoor. Naration.... Harish Bhimani any day.
I think most of the characters are still to be finalised. Reason being Krishna was not shwon at the time of vastraharan.
Ekta should bring some new faces for Mahabharata. We're tired of seeing all these actors daily.. Now we have to see them doing Mythological roles for which they are not at all suited.. Look at the way Draupadi was dressed.. Reminded me of a Mallu movie ;-)

Sorry you won't be compared to anyone. It was worst performance as drupadi I had ever seen, Your dialoge delievery is as poor as your acting. Most of your dialoges were not clear, just shouting is not acting miss anita.
Ekta you and your creative team have no potential to make epic like… Mahabharata. First of all your casting is vulnerable and secondly you forgot that its mythological costume drama but you have made it cartoon drama. Hire some good creative talent who can show you a right path in mythology. In 50’s – 60’s there were very few directors like Babubhai Mistry , shantilal Soni, Homi Wadia etc. who use to make mythological movies, but Raj Kapoor, Gurudutt, hrishida, Gulzar saab never tried mythology. Its not everybody's cup of tea.
