Let us be happy that this draupadi is not showing her cleavage (atleast till now)...only midriff...No grace in the men...though draupadi would have looked better in simpler (more conservative) clothes
By the looks of this new serial, the costume designer should be banned as he has simply copied designs of movie 300, Draupadi is wearing the costume worn by Angelina in that movie. Manish Malhotra, instead of copying the greek culture why couldnt you research on Indian culture and should have created something Indian. Its like watching Chinese movie actors wearing Indian traditional clothes.

You should be banned from rediff for ignorance. When did Angelina act in 300? In your wet dreams?
Did mahabharat started with draupdi's chirharan? according to ekta kapoor, yes.and actor's of ekta's kapoor's serials looked funny dressed in greek or egyptian civilisation complete with Alexender's crown.
Today by chance I ran upon this channel 9x where this parody of Ekta's Mahabharat is going on. Believe me within fraction of second I changed the channel seeing the pathetic K-series characters with their typical stony looks and dialogue delivery. And worst part their costumes, including the one that this Draupadi is wearing looks straight out of Greek or Egypt civilization instead of the looks of Indian civilization. I know I wasn't born in the Mahabharat era so I should comment about costumes but the whole thing was looking extremely funny. I think the word parody of mahabharat doesn't apply here, actually Ekta is making a mockery of Mahabharat the great epic! Fine if you trying something new comparison with the old one is understood, but in this case there is no room for comparison in one word it can be stated and that is pathetic absolutely pathetic.
The more I hate this lady...the more appearances she makes on TV. I think she is the perfect choice for Draupadi...but untill Pandavas would be having 6 people...the sixth member being EKTA KAPOOR as a suitable husband for this draupadi.
I have to be honest. Until now- I kept quiet looking at what Ekta making a mockery of such an epic. Then I thought- maybe it is okay. Then I started noticing the costumes each character is wearing. In fact I kind of liked Ganga's costume as well. However, Draupadi's costume shown here crosses all boundaries. It looks like she is wearing a red gown and going to some party. After seeing her in this picture, my heart cries- PLEASE EKTA STOP THIS NONSENSE....
But probably I am the only one shouting there. If other K-serials can be hit- I do not see how this cannot make it.

I agree. She is definnitely making a mockery of the great epic. How much ever she makes her Draupadi look sensuous, the character of Draupadi and the whole Mahabharat serial of hers will be no way near B.R. Chopra's Mahabharat. No way

Ekta knows how to play with Indian sentiments. She has a grip over the nerves and by now she is a master in her art. She wont stop, its getting her money...loads of it..
Its tough when you try to remake an epic saga like mahabharat or for that matter remaking any original. And who better than Ramgopal Verma can explain you that what happens when you try to experiment with the original and fail. Definitely Ekta kapoor too has taken similar kind of risk, but over here she still has a chance to improve and rectify if something goes wrong as she is working on a series and not a movie. Agreed that it is not the best of starts but I bet there are many indians who will tune into 9x at 9 pm to watch this series. Too early to judge. I am curious to watch how she handles the overall epic. And I am no ekta fan because i hate all her soaps.
